My First Takeover!

I’m giving away copies of Beguiled: Frost Trilogy 1 and an Amazon gift card at my 1st Takeover during Alora Kate’s “Between Tristan and Hannah” Release Party.

Here’s a taste of what reviewers have said about this 5 star read, Beguiled:

Nick & Mia are HOT, HOT, HOT right from the beginning. I love everything about the book and can’t wait for book 2.”

Their attraction is off the charts hot! I fell in love with Mia and Nick.”

One of the best I have read and I cannot wait for the...

Being a Successful Author – One Oil Drum at a Time

OneStepAtATime

Okay, so who doesn’t dream of being a best-selling author? I know I did. And I still do.

Yes, Beguiled, part one of my Frost Trilogy, is selling well, but I’m far from hitting the top ten on the NY Bestseller list!

But am I discouraged..? NO.

The odds on making that coveted list are a millions-to-one, surely? That’s what I thought, but again, no, they’re actually much shorter than that. And Kristen Lamb explains why in her blog post What Are the REAL Odds of Being a Successful Author?

It all come...

Paying It Forward

B2re3ruIMAA1o7N a

If you’re an FB friend you’re probably aware due to all my fabulous friend’s pimping, the first two chapters of Beguiled: Frost Trilogy 1 will be featured in Author J S Snow’s upcoming book, Trepidation.

One of her stipulations was that the author whose work she chose to feature must be prepared to offer the same deal. I was thrilled to be chosen and excited to offer the same promotion to another fellow indie author with the same rules as JS.

In Too Deep: Frost Trilogy 2 will be published in De...

I’ll Be There For You

When life takes a downturn what do you do? Turn to family and friends – those who support you. We all need a support system when times get hard, whether it’s friends or family, or the listening ear of a counsellor when we need the objectivity those close to us are unable to give. And when something wonderful happens who’s there to celebrate with you? Those same people who are there for you and are happy for you. No one can get through life without the help and support of others and this is es...

Most Romantic Man Ever??

I may write smut, but The Frost Trilogy is a Romance… A very sexy romance, but a love story nonetheless.

Yes, some say that erotic romance novels are escapism – and even if they are, what’s wrong with that? But sometimes life can be even more romantic than fiction as was proved by an small article I read in the Metro today.

So who is this romantic man alluded to in the title of this post and why is he possibly the most romantic man ever?

John Greenwood is the name of the man in question. And I r...

What is Romance?

love and romance I may write erotic romance, but I struggle with that word – Romance I mean, not Erotic.

Don’t get me wrong, all the stuff that’s considered Romantic: flowers, chocolates, whispered sweet nothings etc are all lovely, but it’s the little things that really count.

Does he remember what’s going on in your life: that interview / presentation / or whatever that’s important to you. Does he text you good luck and call to see how it went?

If he gets home first, has he got dinner started (or washes up af...

Beguiled – My Homer moment

#beguiled my Homer moment D’OH!

That’s the word we all associate with Homer Simpson and now I know just how he feels.

I’m not the most technically savvy person – hell I had to get someone else to perfect my website for me! – but I had converted my Word version of Beguiled: Frost Trilogy # 1 and previously uploaded it to Smashwords and Amazon just fine. So what’s the problem?

Well, I’ve just discovered that somehow when I uploaded what was supposed to be the final version I’d managed to replace chapter 13 with chapter 15...

Delegation baby!

Being an Indie author is tough. Trying to do it all is impossible. Something has to give, but hey, that’s okay. Even, or especially, the most successful business people understand the importance of surrounding yourself with people who are great at what they do. So my very first post is a huge Thank You to Flexility for doing such a great job with my website. If you have need of IT help, Flexility should be your first stop.
