More Discord teaser images.

The project’s growing by about 5 pages a week. We’re shopping it around, and I’m still working on Amernia Fallen book 3 while we wait. Here are some highlights for now.

For those wondering, door 6 leads to Amernia.

Pierah’s featured on the right. Looks like she’s made a new friend and gotten some sick new shoes. More soonish. I have no idea what the fuck I’m doing! :D

Discord teaser, and 2015 in review

The Secret Project has a name: DISCORD, and it’s coming 2016. Sometime. It’s a comic drawn by MKW, and we submitted it to Image Comics last night. Discord is basically my version of Spirited Away. It’s targeted towards a YA audience. It’s not nearly as dark as my novels. That’s all I can say. Check out the cover for Issue 1!

You can see a few more hints on my Twitter.Stay tuned!

Wow. What a great year.

In summary, 2015 was one of the best years of my life. I got nominated for Mark Lawrence’s SP...

The Wild War and SECRET PROJECT update

Until the end of November, both of my books are 99 cents on Kindle, and paperback versions are available for both.

Get them here!

Work has already begun on Amernia Fallen book 3, which is going to be the best book yet. However, I’m also working hard on a secret project which I’m hella excited for. I can’t tell you much now… believe me I want to, but I can’t. Here are some hints.

1. The Secret Project will appeal to a YA/Adult audience. (Don’t worry, no love triangles or chosen ones.) I wa...

Book 2 HYPETRAIN!

THE WILD WAR’S GREAT YOU SHOULD READ IT TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS BUY IT REVIEW IT EVERYWHERE I HAVE THE BEST THIRTY FANS IN THE WORLD!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Here’s a list of things to expect from The Wild War.

1. More tragic backstory: Everyone has one. Some might even give you new perspective on established characters. (*Cough* SALUS *Cough* STILL A DICK *Cough*)

2. More romance! More bromance!: Character relationships are my favorite thing to write, and dark times have a way of bringing people together. Unsurprisingly, I like my odd couples.

3. New Characters: There are probably... five new characters who are important enough to stick around for a while, and they’re some of my best. One of whom is probably my own personal favorite.

4. Mythology, Gods, and Monsters: Expect some BIG revelations.

5. Technological Renaissance: Sins of a Sovereignty flirted with genre bending, but The Wild War takes that to a whole new level. The Queen’s chapters in tWW are just straight Steampunk, while Salus, Calcifer, Shrike, Pierah, and the Secret Character feel like Epic Fantasy stories with touches of Primeval-Post-Apocalyptic-Lovecraftian-Horror. (Phew, that’s a lot of buzzwords in one sentence.)

At the end of the day, The Wild War is a VERY DIFFERENT book than Sins of a Sovereignty, but it's one which I’m much prouder of.

ARCs THIS WEEKEND!

The Making of a Book Cover

It all starts with a sketch….

Not a good sketch, but a sketch nevertheless. Look at my beautifully detailed blobs! Now,Michalis great at interpreting what I want, but I also sent him a collection of reference material I won’t show here. After a few weeks, he brought me this.

I loved it of course, but I had my minor complaints. I wanted the pterodactyl to have a crest, and for Salus to be a bit bigger. He didn’t disappoint.

Here we have the first colored draft, which was looking pretty dam...

Sins of a Sovereignty: One year Anniversary

Today (6/12/15) is the one year anniversary of Sin of a Sovereignty’s publication. WHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

It’s been a crazy and exciting year, and it’s been the best year of my life. Sins of a Sovereignty has been live on the interwebs for one whole year, and in that time has accumulated 24 ratings & 23 reviews on Goodreads, most of which were solicited in the first few months. I’m very proud of my first work, but I’ve grown tremendously in the past year, both a...

Book Two Update: The Shrikeshank Redemption

image

When we last see Shrike, he’s been tortured by Salus for information, and was forced to watch the brutal murders of Pendragon and Evrill, who, if not friends, were certainly people he had a long and tense history with. Rather than killing Shrike, or keeping him as a torture slave, Salus has the dwarf sent to the infamous Tilucan prison, a fate generally considered to be worse than death.

“I would rather die than get sent to Tilucan.” -Shrike, Sins of a Sovereignty

Now isn’t that a lovel...
