Release Day for Call Sign Karma-Through My Eyes
I have no words to describe the emotions that a debut author experiences through this process. But for me, personally, it looks something like this…

and this…
and this…

This morning reality smacked me in the face and suddenly I realized that my “fourth child” is out there for the world to see. I’m excited, I’m frightened but mostly, I’m vulnerable.

Positive reviews will come in…
but so will the negative…

I know it’s going to happen so I’ve prepared myself and I will be brave and handle it like an adult.

But inside, I’ll be like…
and…
with an added gulp of…

but I will push through the self-doubt becausethere is excitement and support happening all around. I will give myself a pep talk, take a deep breath and remind myself that this is my dream.I wrote my heart out and spilled my emotions onto those pages. I took a chance and it happened.

Call Sign Karma is published!
It’s OUT THERE!
People are reading it and talking about it!
So now it’s time to enjoy the ride! Thank you to everyone who joined me on this journey so far and to everyone new who is joining in! I hope you will love Tink’s story as much as I loved writing it and I hope you will join me in celebrating today!

AUTHOR INFORMATION:
JAMIE RAE is a New Adult and Young Adult author. She writes with one goal in mind–create stories with a positive message that will stay with the reader long after they’ve finished reading.
Jamie is an avid reader and loves discovering stories with a great hook, though she will not eat, sleep, or speak until she reaches the end. The Harry Potter years weren’t pretty!! Convinced that her Hogwarts letter was lost in the mail, she keeps a watchful eye for owls hoping her children will have better luck!
In her other life, Jamie Rae is an orthodontist, and literary agent. She keeps her heart overflowing with love as a mother of three and has perfected the art of nomadic living as a military spouse and Air Force veteran. Jamie has a passion for critters of all shapes and sizes and you can often find her sneaking them into her own home or volunteering for rescues.

Real Life Heroes
One of the reasons that I chose to make write Call Sign Karma was to honor the men and women in the military. In Call Sign Karma, Tink is an active duty fighter pilot. She is a strong female character that can hold her own amongst the best of the best. And although Tink may be a fictional character in a fictional story, there are many real life female aviators who are strong role models and real life heroes that are defending our freedoms daily.
I came across this post today in the AF News and wanted to share an example of just one of the many female aviators that is a real life heroine.
