Sequel: Approaching the Well of Still Time

So I’ve been working quite a bit on the sequel to Falling Down the Aether Sky. It was sort of a mud hut day. The weather was gloriously overcast and cool for May 1, International Worker’s Day. So after laundry and a few other things, I began writing again. Although the book is basically written, I have been thoroughly rereading and working on inconsistencies and plot defects. I found a major problem with Refat encountering DeLote. Refute is far to young to have met DeLote in this manner. So I have begun to expand upon just how Refat originally found the Bookmobile. Inside it he finds a diary of the previous owner, DjinnDjinn McVey. He is reading it and this is the main part of chapter 3. DjinnDjinn and J’Qwan capture DeLote just after his tweeted partner is killed. DeLote relates how he is broken from his tween on a raid to the Morman Templeland Trust.

Lubbock Con-What a DAY!!

Lubbock Con was yesterday and woe to those of you who missed out! Huge, extravagant, esp. for the first year. Everything from Miss LubbockCon (with a male entry!!!) to Cosplay contest, and vendors ranging from Cake creations to Pitmans Karate to Will Terrell and Mike Crowell. Having it at the same time as the annual pancake festival meant lots of cross traffic.

I sold 20 copies (all that I had of my book) and gave out about 250 postcards. So hopefully there will be lots of e-sales!!

I would love to have the sequel out for next years Con!!

Blog Hop Hop HOPE Rabbits and All

NewSGBlog_button.jpg

Holidays, I always forget about them. Then I’m rushing around frantically attempting to not be a horrid cad to my fellow humans. I give lots of gifts, but they are at random moments of my life, usually not bound to some holiday. I do remember as a child getting a rabbit for Easter. We got 2,one black and one white, salt and pepper. I hope we didn’t eat them.

Although I do admit I am rather partial to Halloween.

Thoughts, how did Easter get associated with rabbits. Fertility, spring? HMMMMM.

Maybe because I have dogs and not children. To my dogs, my very existence is a HOLIDAY. Everyday for them. There is nothing I like better than coming home from a really crappy day a work. It could be 5 minutes or 5 hours and my two doggies just exude, no shoot forth like a water cannon, LOVE, HAPPINESS , EXUBERANCE and my simple life.

I think about the things that I remember about Christmas as a child: fudge, powdered sugar cover spheres that were full of nuts(can’t remember what they were called) and a couple of animated shows: Charlie Brown and Rudolph. Oh, and the animated Grinch!

So below is my first novel, Falling Down the Aether Sky. Dystopic, cyberpunk. Give it a read. I’ve placed the website that you can read an excerpt and the links for Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Arrived in Austin

What a harrowing day yesterday driving from Little Rock to Austin, especially down I-35. But made it with the pups. I’ll be heading over to the conference in a bit to set up by table.
