While TIGER DRIVE is a fiction book, I grew up on the real Tiger Drive and drew from personal experience to write this novel. I've been overwhelmed--in a good way--by the emails I've received from readers who related to one of the four characters.
Make sure your user settings include your birthdate because I hit "adult content' due to one character's language; he's a biker and drug dealer, and he wouldn't have seemed authentic if he never swore.

DESCRIPTION:
In Nevada, Sloan family matriarch, Janice, is tired of her white trash life--dealing with debt, kids, her son's motorcycle gang, and Harry, her drunk of a husband. She can't shake her lifelong dream of singing at the Grand Ole Opry.
As Janice's teen daughter, Carrie, plans her escape to college, Janice confronts the fact that she's forty-eight and running out of time. She decides to leave and move to Nashville for one year to pursue her dream. But before Janice can leave, Harry's worst betrayal yet destroys everyone's plans, and detectives start digging up the family dirt.
Times are desperate for the Sloan Family. They might survive if they can become each other's unlikely heroes. Do they have what it takes to confront the truth about their lives and each other and break free from their way of life on Tiger Drive?
Award-winning novelist Teri Case puts us inside the minds of mother, father, daughter, and son to portray how addiction, poverty, and secrets can derail the best of intentions. But with a little hope and a dose of trust, the human spirit can prevail.

F*ck It! It's not gratuitous.
Now is a good time to share that Tiger Drive's character, WJ, a motorcycle gang member, is vulgar. If you frown upon foul language, it's possible this book is not for you, and for that, I’m sorry. However, reviewers have indicated that WJ's use of the f-bomb seems genuine rather than gratuitous.
Here's an excerpt from a newsletter I wrote in 2018 when I released the novel:
Drug dealing, biker gang WJ in Tiger Drive is a realistic character and says f*ck as much as he wants. I rarely swear or use the F-word, but as I was writing Tiger Drive, WJ kept dropping F-bombs all over the place like F-ing cigarette butts.
No kidding, during the first draft, I was so embarrassed by WJ’s potty mouth, I said out loud, “You can’t write that. He can’t keep saying that!”
But F*ck it! A drug dealer, biker gang member like WJ would swear. So, I let him.
Is bad language a deal-breaker for you?
