Author Quickie with...Kayti Nika Raet

NOTE: These are the most random Qs I could find and come up with, but it is to show readers how authors are just like them or maybe so different that they are their own species.  I have several awesome authors already lined up and so far I am going to post them with two days in between each post - we already have a line-up into October, but don't let it scare you to take part though.  I'll be sharing with you all; the answers to the set questions and introduce you to some awesome people, and

The #GratefulAuthor Event

If you missed the event on Facebook or Twitter (what is that saying about living under a rock?  Kidding!), but I am posting my awesome pics and posts here so you can see what I am grateful for and what went down where I was involved - that sounds like an 'ego petting', but eh?     POST ONE: First off, I wanna thank Megan O'Russell for this event and for that I am a #GratefulAuthor to be part of something so special.   My penname is Chevoque, I'm a South African author with the wrong degree

My (unsightly) dilemma...

I'm gonna fall right into the deep end.  Recently I got glasses...and the world is so fucking beautiful when you can see!  Hehehe...so my glasses are permanent and I feared them more than spiders...or crickets...or crabs...or centipedes...or peanut beetles.  Anyway, it wasn't that I couldn't see, I just couldn't see shit if something was beyond the whatever distance - I honestly don't know how blind I was - but the lady tested my eyes, blah blah blah and then I got the glasses and left.   A

South African English oddities...

This is going to be like a public declaration...sort of...yes?   Well, whatever it should be called, I need you to understand I am not doing this to feed the bitch inside me.  I'm doing this because it seems there is a void in this piece of common knowledge.   First let me start by explaining... I have been a self-published author since January 2014.  That is just over a year and a half, and in this time, I've received several emails, with complaints that my language use is awful...ouch! So[image error]

Celebrating the ladies...

So it is Women's Day in South Africa and as a lady (kinda) I thought I wanted to give my fellow (no pun intended) lady authors a shout out.  Even if they aren't SA squeezas, it doesn't matter, because they all know what love, care and kindness with a little badassness TRULY means!   But.   Before I give more about any of them, I want to thank my favourite ladies for being there for me.     Mam, you are the #1 lady in SA! Lava ya! Ouma, damn you are awesome and I love that you are so 'naughty'![image error]

Author Interview...Cougar Trilogy by Alejandro Morales

The best thing about being an author is that you get to meet and connect with other authors.  When you are independent it is even more important, because we need to help each other out where we can - without getting in trouble with Big Brother aka Amazon.   The point is... I met Alejandro through social media and we've helped each other in the simplest of ways, but with great outcomes.  He suggested 'cross linking' our websites, basically; he has a link to my website and I have one on my

Author Interview...Monster (The Outsider Chronicles Book Four) by Kayti Nika Raet

This has to be the most exciting thing I've done since...well things that aren't book-related; like eating a pizza in one sitting.   BUT!!!   I am so honoured to have had the opportunity to have met the lovely Kayti through some or other social network, around November last year (2014).  Since, we have had some utterly normal to weird chats, I was so excited to hear that she had finished her new book, Monster (The Outsider Chronicles Book Four) that I wanted to have a little interview with the
