Nice one, Brexiters!
So, Britain left the EU to escape the imagined tyranny of EU regulations, but now we're keeping all regulations so we can remain in the common market and customs union, and we're remaining under the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice. We left to close our borders, but anyone from Europe will still be able to enter Britain through the open Irish border, and those already here can remain with all the same rights. We left to save £350 million a week in payments to the EU, but that was a greatly exaggerated figure, and all savings will be eaten up by a £50 billion divorce bill as the Prime Minister has agreed to honour all financial commitments.On the one hand, I must congratulate May for standing up to the hardline Brexiters in her party, and targeting a softer Brexit to avoid economic catastrophe. On the other hand, May has surrendered every red line and made a mockery of her party's previous position, as well as betraying the 52% of the public who voted to scrap all the things we are keeping. The only significant change is we will no longer have a seat at the negotiating table, meaning any new regulations could be less favourable to Britain. Essentially, we have lost our bargaining position and gained nothing. Nice one, Brexiters!

My Petition to Oust May as PM
Britain currently has two imperfect options for government - a left wing, progressive alliance, or a right wing, regressive alliance. Left wing parties took over 52% of the vote at the general election, yet two right wing parties took more than half the seats - the Conservatives and the DUP. They now look set to form a coalition government with Theresa May to stay on as Prime Minister. This would violate the principle of neutrality in Northern Ireland, jeopardising the peace process, and would not be democratic.The coalition should surely represent the majority, and given that Theresa May has failed so catastrophically throughout her campaign, she should do the right thing and resign. The British people have rejected hard right politics. We have rejected austerity. We have rejected hard Brexit. We have rejected Theresa May.Let us have a government that represents the will of the people. A government led by Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party, assisted by the Lib Dems, SNP, and Greens, either in a coalition or on a deal-by-deal basis. This, of course, would only be a temporary measure. Such an alliance has no public mandate and breaches the principle of neutrality in Northern Ireland. The government are supposed to act as a go-between for the DUP, Sinn Fein and other Northern Irish parties. However, they can no longer perform this function as they are in a position where they must show favour to the DUP.
The majority of the public voted for left wing parties such as Labour, the Liberal Democrats, the Scottish National Party, the Greens, and Plaid Cymru. The public rejected hard Brexit and austerity. They should have a government that represents these views, whether that be a formal coalition, or a Labour minority government working with the progressive alliance on a deal-by-deal basis.
We therefore call upon the Prime Minister to dissolve her cabinet and resign, allowing Labour the chance to form a government and call another general election in the autumn.

Mission Accomplished!
Mission accomplished! Whatever happens now, there will be an end to hard right politics in Britain. Theresa May is finished and the next prime minister (hopefully Corbyn) will have to compromise.
The media are losing their minds, asking what the hell has happened, and the answer is very simple - Us. Social media. The counterbalance to Tory propaganda. Our huge drive to present the facts to the public, to encourage people to vote, particularly young people, has succeeded. The voter turn out was high. Many defied the mainstream media and voted with their hearts and their heads. And the combined left-wing vote significantly outweighed the combined right-wing vote. There really is hope for our country!
I must say thank you to the amazing followers of this page. In just six weeks our posts have reached a whopping twelve million people - over a quarter of the electorate. Yes, over a quarter of the electorate! You think that had an impact on the outcome? I'm going to blow our trumpets and say absolutely yes. Jeremy Corbyn, you are welcome!
Joking aside, I must give enormous credit to Jeremy Corbyn who has run a remarkably dignified and optimistic campaign in the face of unprecedented hostility from the media and the Blairites in his own party. He has created an appetite for democratic socialism in this country. He has given the Labour party enormous impetus, and there is no going back. I will bet my right arm that Labour win a majority at the next election, which may well be soon. The Progressive Future is well and truly alive!

Why I am voting Labour
I remember the dark old days of 1980's Britain when the northeast of England was forgotten by the government. Unemployment was sky high. The few jobs that were available paid badly. Crime soared, poverty soared, services were terrible, and there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Wealthy people in the south just can't grasp how horrified us northerners are at the prospect of returning to those dark days. My people deserve better than this. All decent people do.
And it's not just the northeast who were screwed – the northwest, the Welsh, the Northern Irish, the Scots… If the Tories win this election, consider the very real prospect of a second Scottish Independence Referendum - with the choice being life under Tory rule or life as an independent Scotland. What do you think the Scots will choose?
We must fight this. We must fight for the union. We must fight for the north of England, for the whole United Kingdom, including the southerners who will be screwed and feel helpless due to the fact they're in a Tory heartland.
When I was growing up, we had nothing. It was a genuine struggle to know where the next meal was coming from. We couldn't go to nice places or have nice things because those were for wealthy people in other parts of the country. I remember when I left school and couldn't get a job, couldn't get a home, despite being one of the most gifted kids in my school. And I remember how Blair was Prime Minister at this point, and things were getting better for many in my area, but not for single young men like me. This was one of the many reasons people called Blair a red Tory, he helped some, but did not represent everyone - and I was cast aside.
Now I see a leader who genuinely would represent the working class and assist the underclass to give everyone a fair shot. And even though I'm doing okay now, this matters so much to me. I don't want kids to go though what I went through. And nor should you.
Our kids deserve their free school meals. Their schools should not be sold to the highest bidder. They should not amass huge debts for a higher education.
Our workers deserve a living wage and a full time contract. They deserve four extra bank holidays. They deserve rights at work. They deserve the right to sue for mistreatment or wrongful dismissal, regardless of the length of their employment (at present they can't sue in the first 12 months).
Our pensioners deserve their winter fuel allowance. They deserve social care. They deserve to keep their house. They deserve dignity in old age. These people fought for us, and many of their peers died for us.
The disabled deserve better than humiliating ATOS assessments, the bedroom tax, loss of benefits, loss of support, loss of life. Yes, loss of life. Thousands have died due to Tory cuts.
Parents deserve better than stagnating wages, cuts to tax credits and child benefit. They deserve better than unaffordable rent and unattainable mortgages. They deserve better than skipping meals to ensure their kids don't go hungry.
Britain deserves better than food banks, shoddy services, and exploitation from the elite. We deserve better than the destruction of the NHS, a police force unequipped to deal with terrorism, a fire service unequipped to prevent avoidable deaths which have increased 21%.
At present, many of our public services (like rail and energy) are run by foreign governments, yes foreign governments, who are profiteering from our shoddy services and pumping the profits into their own services. It's time we put a stop to this. It's time we prioritised high quality service and kept the profit for ourselves. Ask yourself, why can't our own government run our services when other governments run their own services AND our services? Is nationalisation really such a crazy idea?
Theresa May has given every indication that she is more right-wing than Thatcher, her agenda even more extreme. But in Jeremy Corbyn we see someone who is the opposite in every way, who is passionate and sincere, who has been on the right side of history throughout his career, who gives us hope.
Corbyn was arrested for protesting apartheid when the Tories were calling Mandela a terrorist. He was campaigning for gay rights when it was unfashionable to do so. He brought republicans and loyalists to the negotiating table during the IRA conflict, and he was awarded the Gandhi Peace Prize in 2013. Corbyn warned us that deregulation of the financial sector would lead to economic recession. He warned us the Iraq and Afghanistan wars would destabilise the middle east. He warned us that police cuts would leave us vulnerable to terrorism. He was right. Every. Single. Time.
Almost everyone agrees the establishment is corrupt, that ordinary people are not being represented. Well, finally we have a chance to take another direction, to take on the bankers and the media moguls, to create a system that works for everyone. Take a look at the countries with the world's best living standards, best public services, highest social mobility, best records on human rights, lowest levels of corruption – they are the left-wing democracies. The Labour Party are offering a system that is proven to work – and is considered normal throughout Europe and beyond. When the press tell you otherwise, whose interests do you think they're representing: Yours or the billionaire press barons'?
The UK are currently charging corporation tax at 19%. Most G20 countries are charging between 30% and 50%. Could this be why the press are so keen to keep the Tories in power? Let's be clear, this is what corruption looks like. The number of Tory tax dodgers is staggering, including the Prime Minister's very own husband. The Tories are handing out sweetheart deals to their corporate mates left, right, and centre. Labour would put a stop to this, immediately. They'd crack down on tax dodging and make the elite pay their way. If you think such steps are unnecessary or impractical, consider this: The Tories have borrowed more money than every Labour government combined, because they cannot pay their bills due to extreme tax cuts. While the public is undergoing austerity, the rich are getting richer, and our debts are mounting. Wages have fallen by 10.4% in real terms for ordinary people. What happened to 'We're all in this together'?
I don't want five more years of austerity, police cuts, fire service cuts, NHS cuts. I don't want the remains of our public services to be sold to the highest bidder. And the left-wing are not exaggerating or scaremongering when we say the future of the NHS is at risk. Prominent Tories have stated their desire for full privatisation for many years. Every chance they get, they sell off another piece of our most prized institution. Even former Conservative Prime Minister John Major said the NHS is under threat because of the 'pythons' Michael Gove, Boris Johnson, and Ian Duncan-Smith. Doctors and nurses are hugely concerned, and I think we should take their concerns seriously. I do not want my children to grow up in a country where poor people get sick and die like they do in some countries.
And it is not just doctors who are concerned. Prominent police officers continuously warned the government that budget cuts left the country at increased risk of terror attacks. The Prime Minister accused them of scaremongering and crying wolf. Recent events have shown their concerns were justified. And it is heart-breaking to think children have lost their lives because of her arrogance.
I find it horrifying that so many are considering voting for a party that could be so reckless with our safety. A party that is so inhumane that it wants to bring back fox hunting, scrap free school meals, scrap the winter fuel allowance, even take grandma's house. I really thought Britain was better than this, that we'd moved onto a more compassionate kind of politics. I sincerely hope we have.
The Tories are promising to take us down the same old path. Labour are offering a different direction, and I'm not naïve enough to believe they will work miracles, that they will be perfect. Of course, they won't be, but at least they will try to improve things, and are offering a strong plan. The Tories didn't bother to cost their manifesto, let alone offer anything resembling hope. It is galling that so many are considering voting for this, but it is not too late to change our minds.
All we have to do is vote Labour.
Vote for investment in our services. Vote for people before profit. Vote for free school meals. Vote for free higher education. Vote for a £10 an hour minimum wage. Vote for one million new houses. Vote for four new bank holidays. Vote for the police. Vote for the fire service. Vote for the NHS. Vote for hope.
