Dear Random Stranger
Dear Random Stranger,
You walked up to the Redbox near the gas station discouraged and a little bit grumpy. For lack of anything else to do, our vanloadnoticed andtalked among ourselves about how much better online movie rentals were.
You scrolled through on the screen until you finally found the movie you were looking for just as we pulled away to leave the parking lot. Triumphant joy flashed across your face for just a second, andin you I saw a little boy.
A little boy I had played with the...

Dream Book Is FREE
I’m always looking for great cliche slayers and genre busters, soone day a little over a year ago I posed this idea to my older sister Perry Elisabeth.
Me (paraphrased :P): “You know how people are always going into another world and automatically becoming its savior? What if someone did go to another world, and it was a very bad thing for them to be there?”
Perry Elisabeth: “You should read Dreamlander.”
Just look at this Amazon description:

Book Review: Gossamer
“Littlest One is a tiny creature slowly learning her job of giving dreams to humans. Littlest One pieces these bits together and presents them to her sleeping human in the form of pleasant dreams. Short Story: Enjoy the Poodle Skirt (Part One)
The bedroom light flicked on, and I blinked awake. No storybook sunlight drifted in through the windows, just Aunt Julie standing in the doorway saying a cheery, “Rise and dine!” Faster than I could squeeze my eyes shut against the light, I remembered where I was and sat up quickly nearly banging my head on the top bunk. Ignoring this, I carefully rolled out of bed, sprang to my feet, and gave Aunt Julie a good morning hug.
She laughed pleasantly. “Wow, you’re wide awake!”
“It’s day one of se...

Gone Camping
I just charged myKindle and downloaded seven books on it (although the Sherlock Holmes collection technically counts as 4+ books). I helped my family make apple pie and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies (both regular and gluten free). I searched through my closet for warmer clothes. I decided on my current most important notebook. I grabbed our favorite games and tucked everything into a tote-bag. Why?
We’re going camping!!! It’s technically only day tripping, but we are blessed to be able...

We Are Writers
This is just a little something I thought of (not at three in the morning specifically but definitely when I should have been sleeping). Please note that it isn’t poetry–I can’t write that for the life of me!–but I hope it blesses you.

Book Series Review: The Princess in Black
The other day in the library (every post should start this way), I couldn’t find the books I was looking for. They must have been pretty popular since there wasn’t even one copy there to represent the series.
I found thesebooks by Shannon and Dean Hale instead. There’s always a silver lining.
