My Next Project (Post-Zombie Trilogy)

So I hit a pretty dense wall today while strolling through my weirdass zombie world, and I decided to play “just the tip” with a new project I’ve been wanting to start. Turns out, It was a terrible fucking idea, because now I just want to abandon everything else and keep writing this new character of mine. I don’t want to give too much away, but fuck it, I’ll tell you anyway.

So basically, I’ve got this guy who gets these two new neighbors next door. The short version: he thinks that they work for Satan to negotiate “deals with the devil”, but he doesn’t want to tell anyone because he knows what it sounds like.

I don’t have a title, and I don’t have a definite ending for it yet, but I know where I want it to go. And I can’t fucking wait!

Great Things Are Happening-ish

Okay, so for those of you who have been waiting, I clearly did not follow through on my plan to publish “I Am Become Apocalypse” on August 21st. I know, I know, I’m a horrible person. It IS finished, though. And I’m happy with the final product. What started as the product of being bored at a part-time job is becoming quite the ridiculous story. But enough about that. The reason I’ve failed as a deadline setter is due to my co-founding of an indie publishing house, which all of my work will henceforth be published through. Heads Or Tales Publishing is a team of writers, editors, graphic designers and consultants that will be helping indie authors branch out into the world, myself included. “I Am Become Apocalypse” will be the first official title under the new publishing house brand, though I will be issuing an updated edition of “I Am Become Zombie” to include post-production editing through Heads Or Tales Publishing. I couldn’t be more excited to see where this goes!

I will be posting a little more about Heads Or Tales Publishing soon, as well as a brief description of another book I’m writing, so stay tuned!

The Apocalypse Is Coming, I Assure You.

Hey everyone,

As you might know, I am currently working on the sequel to “I Am Become Zombie”, titled “I Am Become Apocalypse”. Originally, I was going to release it on August 1st, which clearly didn’t happen (short version: my computer crashed, I swore a lot, vowed vengeance, etc.), but as the title of this post suggests, I assure you, it’s coming. I hate making deadlines for myself with a fiery passion, but I did it anyway and decided to release “I Am Become Apocalypse” on August 20th, so in like six days…ish. Haha. That date might change, depending on the circumstances, but that’s the plan so far.

On another note, it’s a pretty ridiculous sequel. I’ve laughed out loud several times while writing it, so hopefully you all have as much fun reading it. I particularly enjoyed writing the ending.

Get ready. It’s coming.

Introducing the personal/professional website of author C. L. Allen!

I’m sure you all are unfathomably excited to see that I’ve finally established an “official” website for all of my published material. I know I am, despite what my stone-faced lax might have you think. I actually avoided doing this for a while, for illogical reasons that make little sense to anyone in the publishing world. However, I’ve been urged to bite the bullet and pay a design team to craft a majestic home for all that is C. L. Allen, to which I responded by doing exactly what I was told not to do and bring this marvelous creature to life on my own. After all, who knows more about C. L. Allen than the guy who created him (plot twist)? 

Anyway, if you like my writing and/or are interested in knowing what’s going on in my odd career (such as when to expect upcoming projects, book tours, soul reapings and such), subscribe to my blog or “like” this post (which apparently makes something happen), and you’ll guarantee yourself diplomatic immunity if I ever manage to snag a seat of power in this world.
