Part 3 Behind the Scenes of Conchita's Eyes
I don't know how others begin writing a book and I certainly didn't know. So I just dived in and wrote the last chapter first.
There wasn't a writing plan. I just wrote. The first chapter wasn't written until I was half finished.
I wrote the 19 chapters in 21 days taking two days off in between to uncross my eyes.
More tomorrow.

Part 2 Behind the Scenes of Conchita's Eyes
Most of the characters are a mixture of several people wrapped up into one package.
For example Sandy has the physical attributes and family background of my high school sweetheart but the first name and personality traits of my sister.
Speaking of names. The character, Nella has my name spelled backwards. Go figure.

Behind the Scenes of Conchita's Eyes
When writing Conchita's Eyes I used real places. All the places and businesses in the book are or were actually there. Some has went out of business now and are gone.
Certain scenes are true such as Chapter 2 where Wayne is fishing with the local indians of Venezuela. I actually was in that boat with them when working there years ago.
On a sadder note, the attack scene in the chapter INNOCENCE LOST, one of my very close friends was found murdered. The scene is similar only Conchita survived. That case is unsolved to this day.
More of behind the scenes tomorrow.

1st Blog about first Book
Seeing that this is my first blog and first book I am at a loss of what to post! But what the heck, lets give it a try and have some fun.
A lot of my family and friends asked me why I wrote my first book, Conchita's Eyes. Wondered that myself at first.
I always enjoyed reading and wanted to give writing a chance. So a friend of mine convinced me to give it a try. Glad I did. It is a rewarding experience to put your thoughts, experiences, memories and feelings into a story for others to enjoy.
