~ Unbroken Excerpt ~Everything he was looking for was there, in her eyes, a thousand words passing between them as they stood across from one another. His eyes swept over her, taking her in. Author Niecey Roy Niecey Roy knew she wanted to be a writer from a very young age, but her moment of enlightenment came after watching the movie You’ve Got Mail. It was then she realized her place in life, and happily parked her butt on writing romance. Her dream was to create sexy vixens, hunky, half-naked heroes, and above all, romance; lots and lots of butterflies in the belly, breathless first kisses and happily-ever-afters. Most days she can be found at home at a cluttered desk, pounding her tired little fingers away on a keyboard with nothing but black pepper flavored sunflower seeds and Visine as her weapons for mass-romance-novel-creation. When her fingers need a break, you’ll find her at a table with friends, drinking a few martinis and showing off a new pair of (sometimes ridiculous) high heels. What Do They Think?

I asked the ladies in my book group to describe The Reflection Series in one or two sentences. Most of them told me it's so hard to sum it all up in only a few words. When they sent me their responses, I was blown away. When I write, I love to tap into the emotional side of life while still bringing some humor to the mix. Author Lauryn MichaelsLauryn Michaels is the author of contemporary romance novels edged with mystery and suspense. Her debut novel, Bound to the Past, is the first book in the Starville Series. Reading has always been an essential part of Laurynʼs life, and sheʼs been an avid reader of romance since the age of thirteen, when she began sneaking her mother's novels.
