Kiss by Kiss

Kiss by Kiss is the song I am most proud of writing.  I don’t know why but it was one of the most enjoyable and least frustrating songs to write. It just happened.

It’s probably not the most accessible of songs, being a gritty breed of indie pop. But if you’re into that stuff, then I think it ticks all the right boxes. Vocally, I’m not the most talented guy (Yes, I need to work on my self-promotion skills). I’m more into songwriting for the sheer thrill of it. But I think in Kiss by Kiss the vocals work. It’s a song that is fun to sing (or yell) and play.

It was originally going to be the last song on the EP, as when I was writing the EP I was planning that it would follow a Brothers Grimm inspired storyline. I even wrote a short story for it. But when you’re writing an EP the best songs you write are generally the last songs you write; you get to learn what works and what doesn’t. So I shoved it at the front, before the flag-ship track Dalliance (which made it onto an indie radio station, yay).

Kiss by Kiss is free to download, along with the entire The Tall Tale EP. If you want a digital copy then please click here.

If you want to check out my latest EP, which is a lot more folk/poppy, click here

Enough rambling. Thank you for reading.

Cheers

Tim
