Sinner & Saint is ready!

ctlHave you ever been so focused on a project that when you emerge from it you kind of forget how to be a normal human being again? That’s me right now. Back in July when I started writing Sinner & Saint, I was super pumped. I’d been thinking about the characters and the story for quite a while and the writing was going well. Too well.

Before I knew it, I was staring down the barrel of 100k words. And I was only halfway through the story. So one book became two. Now, if you’re anything like me, you hate cliffhangers and unfinished stories (and then as soon as you’ve finished a story, you wish you were still reading it). Well, I can’t do anything about the second thing, but I can help with the first!

I didn’t want you to have to wait an eternity between Sinner & Saint books so I wrote and wrote and wrote until I had told Waverly Sinner and Xavier Saint’s story in two full novels.

Sinner & Saint: Crossing the Line will be available for purchase on November 28.
Sinner & Saint: Breaking the Rules will be available for PREORDER with Crossing the Line’s launch and will be released on December 28.

I wrapped up Breaking the Rules on vacation in Barbados and it was an amazing feeling to finish the story I’d been thinking about for almost a year. And let me tell you, celebrating in Barbados was pretty freaking cool! But that’s not important. Let’s talk about what you need to know about Sinner & Saint! Check out the synopsis to Crossing the Line here.

In a Nutshell

Waverly Sinner is a 20-year-old actress trapped by fame—and her manipulative parents. Xavier Saint owns the country’s most prominent private security firm and he’s tired of babysitting entitled celebrities. Waverly is sick of allowing everyone else to make decisions for her. She’s determined to shake him loose. He’s determined to stick. Things get very sparky, very fast, and as they get to know each other, the line between personal and professional gets blurry.

When a stalker gets too close, Xavier needs to stay one step ahead of him to keep Waverly safe. He vows that no one is going to get through him to get to her. But will his personal feelings end up endangering her instead?

Random Fast Facts About Sinner & Saint

Five Years: The books take place five years apart, so that’s a pretty big hint on how the first book ends.
What I Love About Waverly: When we meet her, we find a resilient girl who’s hanging on by a thread. Her life is a wreck, but she’s not giving up until she gets to start calling the shots. She’s damaged and a little desperate for change. Catching up with her five years later, she’s a bad-ass woman with a kick-ass life. And she’s not big on second chances.
What I Love About Xavier: EVERYTHING. The man is a Boy Scout. I know bad boys are hot, but man, I love writing a good guy. He’s protective, possessive, and has hero written all over him. He will do anything to protect Waverly and, in the second book, anything to get her to forgive him.
Secrets, Trust Issues, and Really Messy Relationships: I was in reader/writer heaven.
The Middle: Don’t be discouraged by how the first book ends. I’m Lucy Freaking Score, I don’t believe in unhappily ever after. This is just the halfway point of their story. I make up for it in the second book!

Bottom Line

These two novels are hot and angsty and suspenseful. If you liked Pretend You’re Mine, I think you’re really going to enjoy the Sinner & Saint books. I’m really excited for you to fall in love with Xavier and Waverly! See you on the 28th!

xoxo,

Lucy

A Year in the Life of Pretend You’re Mine

This weekend marked a huge milestone of sorts for me. On October 22, 2015, Pretend You’re Mine was published on Amazon. The timing was incredibly fortuitous as I had just gotten canned from my job the day before.

Let me back up a bit, I worked for a conservative accounting firm. And, guessing that the news wouldn’t be well-received, I kept my hobby of romance writing TOP SECRET. During my annual review when one of the bosses showed concern that I didn’t share any personal goals with them, I kept my mouth shut and didn’t say, “My goal is to write bestselling romance novels so I can quit this job.”

I wrote and released Undercover Love earlier that year and, while secretly thrilled by its modest success, I didn’t tell a soul at work that my dreams of being a published author came true. But I was so proud of the work I’d done with Pretend You’re Mine that when the book was getting formatted for its debut on Amazon, I finally confessed to some of my co-workers.

It felt sooooo good to tell them!

As the launch day neared, I got nervous and felt like it was something I should share with the bosses. I didn’t want them to find out from someone else and feel like I had betrayed them or disappointed them by keeping it a secret.

So the Monday before Pretend You’re Mine came out, I nervously hovered in the doorway of one of the bosses (I had several). I made my confession and considered it a success when she didn’t seem upset.

On Wednesday I was called into the conference room and told that my services at the company would no longer be needed and that I could have until the end of the year to find a new job.

I was devastated.

I’d struggled with the job from the beginning, but felt so invested in the people and my efforts. I felt like I was a failure, as if there was something wrong with me that I just couldn’t fit into the professional world. I’d been laid off three years prior from what I thought was my dream job at a newspaper that canned seventy people in one day the same year they won the Pulitzer. I’d also spent years working for a university’s alumni magazine in a sweet work from home deal that ended abruptly when my supervisor needed to shore up the department’s budget.

I took all of these “departures” personally, spending half the time feeling like a big, fat failure and the other half of the time indignant that no one recognized my value to their organization. (OK, it was probably more like 20/80.)

So I went home, freshly fired, and the next morning Pretend You’re Mine went live on Amazon.

I can’t even tell you how proud I am of that book and all of the amazing accolades it earned. It changed my life and gave me a new start as the author I always dreamed I would be. Thanks to book sales, I was able to quit before the end of the year. Which, I’ll admit, felt so damn good.

It’s been a year since then. And I never could have imagined where this year would take me. I’ve been writing full time and, by the end of December, I’ll have six published books to my name. I’ve slept late, taken vacations, learned to sail, and written almost every single day. I make my own schedule and worship the flexibility that I now have.

Of course, it hasn’t been all Champagne and sandy beaches. This is the hardest freaking job I’ve ever had in my life. Sometimes I sit at my computer for twelve hours a day trying to make the story perfect for you (and for me). Sometimes I hit a wall, a thirty-story brick wall that seems insurmountable. I don’t have stubborn or short-sighted or “this is the way we’ve always done it” bosses to blame mistakes on. I worry about running out of ideas. I worry about having too many ideas. I worry about disappointing readers. I worry about embarrassing family members when they read the sexy parts. I worry that the next book won’t sell. I worry about dumping all of the household stuff on Mr. Lucy because I’m glued to my keyboard. I worry about not being there for friends and family when a deadline looms. I worry about suddenly sucking at writing.

But I keep doing it. Because I love it. Because this is what I’m supposed to do.

So thank you to Mr. Lucy for supporting my dreams and telling me that the best thing that could happen to me would be to get fired, to my family who isn’t remotely surprised that this is where I am today,to the indie publisher who took a chance on me, to the people who believed in me, and even the people who didn’t believe in me. Because of all of you, I pushed hard to make this happen and I’m so proud to be here today!

xoxo

More books, please!

Hey everyone! I’ve been getting a lot of questions about what’s next from readers. Well, hang on to your bookmarks because it’s a LOT.

While working on the Blue Moon series, an idea for a hot, sexy, wild story kept floating through my brain. Don’t worry, I promise you that the Pierce brothers didn’t suffer! But the idea did percolate for six months before I could finally lay fingers to keyboard for…Sinner and Saint! My heart actually beats faster just thinking about this story.

heart

But this is complicated news so let’s talk good news, bad news, good news.

Good news

You’re going to have Sinner and Saint: Crossing the Line in November! Yay! Further good news, it’s a sexy, meaty, hot, exciting thriller. Waverly Sinner is a second-generation Hollywood goddess living in the gilded cage of expectations. At twenty, she’s still under the thumb of her parents, one of Hollywood’s golden power couples. But when a threat materializes against their precious princess, her parents use it as an excuse to hire a private security firm to protect her…and keep her in line. If Waverly felt like she was in a cage before, meeting Xavier Saint slams the door shut on her own private prison. She can’t go anywhere without him shadowing her, bossing her around, judging her. He thinks she’s just another spoiled starlet, but Waverly is just a few months shy of breaking out of the life she never chose, that is, if she can get past Xavier to escape.

Instead of love at first sight, Sinner and Saint is a battle royale. But when a dangerous stalker threatens Waverly’s life, she has to trust Xavier to stand between her and a potential killer. Adrenaline, forbidden lust, and danger? Oh yeah, the sparks are a flyin’ in this story!

Bad news

Here’s where it gets dicey. This is just the beginning of Sinner and Saint. And the beginning is so long it is its own book. I really had a vision for the complete story when I started, but what I didn’t know was how much material was necessary to tell it all. So I had to break it into two books. I know what you’re saying “Oh, so two books! That’s pretty great!” It is except for the fact that the perfect and very natural break between the two story halves is a…dun dun dunnnn…cliffhanger.

Back to better news

I plan to release Sinner and Saint: Breaking the Rules in December. So that’s just a month apart for TWO books and I swear on my morning coffee that you’ll get your happily ever after! It just might take close to two hundred thousand words with a one month breather.

So apologies, for those of you (myself included) who really do not have the patience for cliffhangers. But I promise I’ll make it worth your while.

Even gooder news

So as if two books in two months isn’t good enough, guess who’s releasing a novella in January?? THIS GIRL! The very talented sister writing team Melanie Shawn invited me to write a book in their Hope Falls Kindle World. This book releases January 12 and it’s going to be sweet and sexy and punch you all right in the feels with a Christmas story that’s Hallmark Channel-worthy.

Three books in three months? OMG, it’s a Christmas Lucy miracle!

But wait, there’s more!

Also, for those of you who were really sad to see the end of the Pierce Brothers and Blue Moon, don’t be! The book after my Hope Falls installation will be #4 in the Blue Moon series starring Gia’s sister Emmaline, who is now general manager of the restaurant side of John Pierce Brews. After spending years working in L.A. she has exactly zero tolerance for womanizers, so imagine how she’ll feel about becoming the latest fascination to photographer and serial love ‘em and leave ‘em hunk Nikolai Vulkov. Just how far do you think the Beautification Committee will go to make Niko fall in love with Emma and their crazy town? Far enough to make him finally want to put down roots?

I’m really, really, REALLY excited about all of these stories. Like wild-eyed-crazy-person-dance-into-Mr.-Lucy’s-office-because-I-wrote-something-awesome excited. I seriously cannot wait for you to meet these characters and read their stories. And if the Sinner & Saint cliffhanger is a deal breaker, just buy both books in December and have a massive read-a-thon.

Note to self: Totally need “Don’t Bother Me I’m Reading” sweatshirts.

Xoxo,

Lucy

My favorite things about The Last Second Chance

Lucy Score Jax book 3The Last Second Chance, Jax and Joey’s story in the Blue Moon Series, went live on Amazon. It’s a few days early and so the release fell on during my beach vacation with Mr. Lucy, my sister, Madison, and Mr. Madison. As I was typing this from the deck and staring at the ocean I was reminded of last year’s beach vacation.

I was sitting on the bed staring out the window at everyone else on the beach while I answered angry emails from one of my bosses. That same week, at around 11 p.m. one night I finished writing Pretend You’re Mine. At the time, I had no idea what a success that story would be. I only knew that I loved the story, the characters, the town so much and I was so proud of what I’d written, even if no one else ever read it.

Fast forward one year and here I am, a full-time author with FIVE books under my belt…and no angry bosses! And it’s all because you readers are so supportive and so happy to give my stories your positive word of mouth! So thank you from the bottom of my heart! You made my dreams come true!

OK, enough mushy crap. Let me tell you a few of my favorite things about The Last Second Chance and Jax and Joey…

We get to meet John Pierce…sort of. Not in a paranormal way. But the reader finally gets an introduction to Carter, Beckett, and Jax’s father. We already knew he was a good man because he and Phoebe raised those boys right! But in this book the reader gets access to some of John’s most important memories of his family.
I love second chance stories because there’s so much history and angst and spice to even the most innocent interactions. So when those angsty, spicy characters finally do come together, it’s freaking HOT!
Joey has to be one of my favorite lady characters so far. She’d rather spend time with horses than people, but finds herself in the middle of this sloppy family and this nosey town and resignedly finds herself enjoying it all. She’s independent, smart, successful, and sarcastic. I wanted her to walk off the page and roll her eyes at me when I ask her to go shopping.
The dog scene. I’m not going to go into spoiler mode here because I don’t want to ruin a single second of this scene for you. But I laughed so hard while writing this scene that Mr. Lucy had to come into my office to check on me a few times!
We finally find out why Jax left all those years ago. When I started writing this series, I wasn’t actually sure why he left so I was pretty excited when I figured it all out.

I photobombed Nora Roberts and now my life is complete

Mr. Lucy and I ventured out to San Diego last week for the Romance Writers of America convention where I met NORA ROBERTS! Okay, it was a book signing and she basically met everyone in a 50-mile radius of San Diego, but it still totally counts.

You may wonder why this is such a big deal to me. Nora Roberts is literally the reason I write romance novels. I’ve been reading Nora’s books since I got tall enough to sneak them off my mom’s book shelf. Her latest book, The Obsession, is one of my all-time favorites. So you can imagine how embarrassingly excited I was last week. Like horribly embarrassing because this happened.

NoraPhotoBomb

Nora and the mysterious Mr. Lucy are photobombed by a crazy woman.

Yup. I photobombed Nora Roberts. She was a very good sport about it.

So my Nora exposure continued with a Q&A during the conference. And here are a few of the highlights of said Q&A.

Nora Roberts cleans her glasses before her Q&A and we watch in fascination.

Nora Roberts cleans her glasses before her Q&A and we watch in fascination.

Nora drops the f-bomb

“Put a f*ing period!”

In an anecdote about the editing process, Nora mentioned a writer who confessed to spending two weeks on a sentence and couldn’t figure out how to end it. Nora’s response:

Nora on marriage

“Being married to a writer, you have to be insane.”

When asked what qualities a writer should look for in a spouse/partner, Nora recommends finding someone who “knows when to shut the f&%* up” and doesn’t “invade your space when you’re working.”

I think we could pass for sisters.

I think we could pass for sisters.

Question for Nora

“Do you have regular human emotions?”

A guy in the audience asked Nora if she experiences the same doubt and anxiety as the rest of us. She does. We’re basically sisters. See?

Random entertaining quotes

“A little head wound will just gush.”

“A dog, for me, completes your life.”

“Bring out the fish sticks.”

“I don’t want to talk to anyone at all. Probably ever.”

A Love Letter to the Bystander

I’m a romance novelist. I deal with love on a full-time basis and because of that I usually end up avoiding the news and certain people in my social media news feeds. Those parties aren’t usually conducive to writing about the beauty of family and community, of acceptance and respect and love…also hot steamy sex scenes.

As a romance novelist, I’m the last person who would be an expert on the tragedies we’ve been facing or to give advice on how we need to change the infrastructure of society to stop these events from recurring. I can’t even put a timeline on when things “got bad,” because I’m pretty sure we can trace all this crap back thousands of years. Possibly even millions if that asteroid hit the earth on purpose.

What I can do is tell you what this mushy-hearted human being, who still trusts in happily ever after, believes to be true about the current state of “us.”

I believe we have a problem, but I believe we can improve the outcomes in situations by changing our own behavior. We aren’t the ones posting hate-fueled tirades on social media. We aren’t the committers of crimes against humanity.

We are in the middle and we are the majority. This is my love letter to you—and me—the beautiful bystander.

The problem doesn’t lie within the police or the government. And the problem sure as hell doesn’t lie in what color skin you were born with.

The problem lies within the guy on my Facebook page who goes on anti-black, anti-Muslim, anti-woman, anti-government, anti-police, anti-refugee children, anti-freaking cute kitten video rants. “Oh, yeah. It’s real cute until it murders that toddler with the rabies. Those parents should be in jail for getting the kid a pet.”

The problem lies within the person who, regardless of the job they hold—teacher, nurse, cop, retail sales associate, full-time internet commenter living in their parents’ basement “I said no crusts, Mom!”—uses their prejudices and fear to make the lives of others worse. They use the valuable seconds of their own life to devalue those of others.

The problem is when I don’t recognize you as me. When I ignore your desire to be seen and heard and loved and respected as an equal to me. When your need and human right for security and stability aren’t as important because you weren’t lucky enough to be born here or your skin is a different color or your god goes by a different name or your eye color is wrong or your feet are too big. The problem is when I choose to be anti-you and pro-someone else.

We’re doing this life wrong. For those of us lucky enough to be born in America, who don’t have to worry about where our next meal is coming from, or whether or not our loved ones will make it home in one piece today, we’re doing this wrong. We pick fights and point fingers and choose sides.

We talk about walls and us vs. them. We talk about protecting what we have from others we don’t think deserve it. Everyone’s looking for a team, a side. And as Trevor Noah from The Daily Show points out, just because you’re pro-something doesn’t mean you have to be anti-something else.

“…in reality, you can be pro-cop and pro-black, which is what we should all be! That is what we should be aiming for.” — Trevor Noah, The Daily Show

Every tragedy becomes the Super Bowl of opinion. We’re very eager to place blame and point fingers, establish “good guys” and “bad guys,” but there aren’t many people who want to talk about solutions.

The problem lies with me, the bystander, who doesn’t shut down the racist joke. Who doesn’t speak up when I know someone is doing something very wrong. And we the bystanders are the solution. When the people who stand between the offender and the victim speak up and demand change, that is the sustainable solution.

When you see something, say something.

Be the squeaky wheel of justice, of equality, of love. Speak up. It may not be the most comfortable thing we’ve done all day, but it’s going to be better than going home and thinking about all the things we should have said. (Note: I spend most of my showers constructing perfect comebacks whose time has long since passed.)

Squeak respectfully.

When speaking up, do it in a way that you’d use when speaking to your grandmother or your son or your friend’s five-year-old. If ever in doubt, ask yourself, would I want someone talking to my child like this? If the answer is no, revise that response until it’s something you can be proud of. Until it’s something that builds a bridge, rather than burns it.

Progress is made when we come out from behind the safety of our digital walls and say “I hear you, I understand what you’re saying, and I disagree” rather than “Why don’t you go kill yourself?”

It was never meant to be me against you. It’s always been us for us. And there’s no geographical, racial, ethnic, gender identification, or sexual orientation boundary around us. You and I share a heart. I stand for you. I stand for us. Here’s what we can do to make it a little better.

A Romance Novelist’s Advice on How to Stand for Us

Unfollow individuals or organizations that promote inciting hate and fear. Your day will automatically get better when you’re not bombarded by loud assholes with shitty opinions.
Don’t laugh at the racist, biased, prejudiced, misogynistic, dickish joke. We’ve all faced the “Wow, that really wasn’t funny” face when telling a joke. I got that a lot with my knock knock jokes as a five-year-old. Here’s the perfect reason to use it.
Ask them, “Do you really believe that all INSERT GROUP IDENTIFIER here are that way?” Then listen. Some folks are lost causes and listening will let you know which ones they are. Don’t engage lost causes, it’s a waste of your energy that can be better used doing beautiful things like eating cookies, hugging kids and dogs, cleaning out your gutters, etc.
Shut down the finger pointing. Whether it’s a gorilla, an alligator, or a violent situation, until your family has gone through it you can’t say, “You suck because that would never happen to me.” In fact, please for the love of all that is cute and furry, don’t say those words. It’s like a jinx and I don’t want you to have to face a situation like that just so you can see what it’s like being on the receiving end. If you’re dealing with a loud finger pointer, respectfully disagree and walk away. Heated attention feeds the beast and sometimes it’s best to let it starve…alone…in its musty cave of fear and hate that smells like old sweat socks and hardboiled eggs.
If you see something, say something. As a bystander, this is the single most important thing we can do to protect life. School shootings have been thwarted by vigilant individuals who spoke up when they knew something wasn’t right. Domestic terrorist attacks have been avoided when neighbors and family and acquaintances spoke up and identified questionable behavior. This can work in so many other situations, office HR problems, family dinners, grocery store express lane squabbles. I don’t want any of us to carry the guilt of having noticed something questionable and not saying anything until it was too late.
Instead of devaluing the seconds of someone’s day, be awesome instead. Add value. Buy the coffee for the person behind you in the drive-thru. Look that homeless person in the eyes and say “Good morning.” Give Gladys in accounting a hug—but only if she wants one. Post something positive and beautiful on social media today. Compliment someone, even a stranger. Subscribe to the Good News Network’s Newsletter and share the crap out of those stories. Take your kid to the park and laugh until you can’t breathe.

This life is so beautiful and so short and I want us to remember it every moment of every precious day, because when that’s where our awareness starts everything gets better. Be better. Stand for us. I believe in you. I believe in us.

Things You Didn’t Know About Pretend You’re Mine

LucyScoreHR-86To celebrate this holiday weekend, I thought I’d give you a teensy peek into THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT PRETEND YOU’RE MINE.

How’s that for excitement? Let’s jump right in, shall we?

The Idea

The idea for Pretend You’re Mine came from binge watching surprise military homecoming videos and sobbing hysterically. The videos made me think that if that day is so joyful, how painful is the day of deployment? And then the entire Luke leaving and the “Stay” scene popped into my head. And voila! The book was born.

No Bad Guy?

The original storyline didn’t have Clive Perry in it. I know, right? What was I thinking? I was almost done with the first draft when I realized I really wanted to give Harper something that she’s been running from, a physical obstacle to her putting down roots. And creeper Clive was born.

When Did Luke Fall in Love with Harper?

Luke fell for Harper the second he saw her jump on Glenn’s back in the parking lot. He just didn’t know what he was feeling because of his sense of guilt related to his past. He tried to tell himself it was just lust, but he was as fiercely protective of Harper as he was the rest of his family.

Luke’s sister Sophie recognized his feelings and schemed to get them together so nature could take its course. Its very slow, stubborn course. In fact, all of Benevolence knew that Luke loved Harper before Luke ever admitted it to himself.

My Favorite Scene

The grocery store fight. I wanted the first time that Harper saw Luke again after the breakup to be really emotional…and a little funny. I loved the tension between Luke and Harper here, even before they see each other. And the escalation that happens with Luke finding Harper wrapped up in Linc’s arms in the cooler, was so exciting to write.

It was so much fun incorporating the townspeople into this scene. They know the score and do their best to protect Harper, but when they’re efforts fail they’re happy to watch how it all unfolds even with their freezer goods melting in their abandoned carts. And Ty getting to punch Luke in the face was kind of like every reader getting their shot at knocking a little sense into him.

My Favorite Character

Aldo. I still have a huge crush on that man.

Things You Didn’t Know About “Pretend You’re Mine”

Pretend You're MineTo celebrate this holiday weekend, I thought I’d give you a teensy peek into THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT PRETEND YOU’RE MINE.

How’s that for excitement? Let’s jump right in, shall we?

The Idea

The idea for Pretend You’re Mine came from binge watching surprise military homecoming videos and sobbing hysterically. He tried to tell himself it was just lust, but he was as fiercely protective of Harper as he was the rest of his family. And that was a major hint to the reader that he was head over heels for her.

Luke’s sister Sophie recognized his feelings immediately and schemed to get them together so nature could take its course. Its very slow, stubborn course. In fact, all of Benevolence knew that Luke loved Harper before Luke ever admitted it to himself.

My Favorite Scene

Linc shoved a bag of lettuce at him. “Keep up, bro.”

“Give me a minute … and don’t call me bro.”

“Fine. Keep up, dick.”

The grocery store fight, hands down, is my favorite. I wanted the first time that Harper saw Luke again after the breakup to be really emotional…and a little funny. I loved the tension between Luke and Harper here, even before they see each other. Thankful Thursday: Belize, Beats Wireless, and Best Gift Evar!

Happy Thankful Thursday, Rabid Readers!

After a week’s vacation and some quality catch-up time with family and friends when we came home, I was happy to get back to writing.  Life is good! Here are the highlights:

Beautiful Belize

Mr. Lucy and I spent a week splashing around Ambergris Caye in Belize. It was hot, beautiful, and so much fun. We swam with sharks, drove golf carts, drank frozen drinks, and ate our weight in seafood. We also made friends with a few super cool couples and mostly behaved ourselves. With the two-hour time difference, we also got to pretend we were normal people who get up at a normal morning time and go to bed in the same day we woke up.

Beats Audio Wireless Headphones

edited_photo1464293853550Returning from Belize I realized, “Gee, I still have 50 percent of a book to write.” So I’ve been experimenting with ways to force myself to stay focused on type-type-typing. (BTW: If you have any productivity tips, send them my way, please!) Mr. Lucy is super awesome and for Christmas he got me these wireless headphones that I can put on and drown out the world so I can live in Blue Moon.

They’re like a musical hug for my ears and if I can figure out how to stop getting my hair stuck in them, they’ll be perfect.

I was looking for a link to the headphones and now that I see what they cost I have to murder Mr. Lucy.

Underwood Typewriter

20160523_173022

This week Mr. Lucy surprised me with this kick-ass working typewriter from the 1930s. It is beyond cool! Did I mention that it works? He had perfect timing too, because my sister, Madison, and I were debating whether we should look for one for an upcoming photoshoot! It being an “Underwood” also feeds my obsession with Netflix original House of Cards. Mr. Lucy is the best!

Blue Moon Update

coming soon

I’m halfway through Jax and Joey’s story and hope to be a diligent little writer person and bust out the last half this month. So if you see me on social media tell me to get back to work!

I’m on track to have it delivered to an e-reader near you by the end of July!

Hope you’re having a great week and have a weekend full of adventures and books!

xoxo, Lucy

Fall into Temptation: Blue Moon Book Two

Today’s the day, my lovelies! Fall Into Temptation: A Small Town Love Story (Blue Moon Book 2)[image error]Fall into Temptation, the second novel in my Blue Moon series, is available on Fall Into Temptation: A Small Town Love Story (Blue Moon Book 2)[image error]Amazon. For 99-cents!!!

I LOVED writing this book. Beckett is your total heart-throbby good guy who is willing to put aside his own happiness for the sake of others. Even if he’s totally and completely wrong. The story picks up shortly after No More Secrets: A Small Town Love Story (The Pierce Brothers Book 1)[image error]No More Secrets leaves off. Beckett returns to town after a vacation to find out he’s got a new tenant in his guest house and the town has a new yoga instructor.

Beckett Pierce is the most eligible bachelor in the nosiest small town in upstate New York. But after his last girlfriend handcuffed herself to his porch and set his welcome mat on fire, he’s not looking for any more romance.

Even if it lands right in his backyard, and has miles of red hair.

Gianna Decker has her hands full–no, overflowing–with problems. With two kids, a useless ex, and a brand new yoga studio, the last thing on her mind is finding a man who’ll cause her more problems.

Dating her broody landlord? Yeah, that would be a problem. Dating the sexy mayor of the town she just moved to? Definitely a problem. Dating the “favorite” son of her father’s new lady friend? It seems like Beckett is a bad idea just waiting to happen.

But he’s a bad idea she can’t seem to resist.

As Beckett and Gianna find themselves thrown together again and again, they can’t help but fall into the temptation of sizzling stolen kisses, of a desire so hot it brands. And soon they’re much, much closer than they ever wanted. Tempers flair when their families complicate things and the interfering citizens of Blue Moon Bend step in with their special brand of chaos.

Can Beckett and Gianna manage to disentangle themselves before it’s too late?

Or is the temptation too much for either of them to deny?

No More Secrets: A Small Town Love Story (The Pierce Brothers Book 1)[image error]Cover (Newest)You may have noticed that No More Secrets: A Small Town Love Story (The Pierce Brothers Book 1)[image error]No More Secrets, the first book in the series is sporting a new look. The series, originally dubbed the Pierce Brothers Series, is being rebranded as the Blue Moon Series. Hence the sexy new cover.

I’ve got a few more stories up my sleeve that will take place in Blue Moon beyond the three Pierce brothers and those novels will fall under the Blue Moon Series.

Bottom line: No More Secrets: A Small Town Love Story (The Pierce Brothers Book 1)[image error]No More Secrets had a sexy purple cover makeover, but the story is the same.
