Hey! So I’m like super excited about self publishing my first poetry book. And I just wanted to say any mom-and-pop SoCal/ San Fran book stores that are interested in having it just let me know and I’ll drive you out a couple boxes when I’m done binding it in a few months xx

A post shared by Lana Del Rey (@lanadelrey) on Mar 6, 2019 at 4:45pm PST

“Born To Die” songstress Lana Del Rey has announced on Instagram to her almost 13 million followers that she’ll be self-publishing a book of poetry.

Not only will she self-publish the book, she said she’ll even drive to Los Angeles and San Francisco indie bookstores to self-deliver copies.

Lana is following in the footsteps of other women singers who have spun lyrics in albums to poetry in books yet it’s unique she’s choosing the route of self-publication. Alt-indie singer Jewel received literary best-seller status with 1998’s A Night Without Armor that was published under HarperCollins while Jhene Aiko published 2Fish last year with Ulysses Press.

So far in her announcement Instagram post, Lana has garnered 1.1 million likes. That social media influence should spur a ridiculous amount of books being sold.

To get a taste of her vivid wordswomanship, here’s the deluxe edition of her best album ever that was on repeat in many playlists in 2012.
