Oak, Hammer, and Star

Hey there all, I just thought that perhaps those of you who are in the Okanagan Valley or interior BC might be interested to know that an informational network for local Pagans has been revived.  The organizers are Graeme Barber, a Heathen, and Brian Healy, a Druid, and they have asked me (a local Witch) to post some things to it and to spread the word about it.  They are calling it the Temple of Oak, Hammer and Star.  It's a blog on Wordpress and the purpose is to create an information resource to connect local Pagans in the Okanagan to others of similar stripes, and also to help to participate in an effort to create one local Sabbat between all of us, taking turns on who gets to host and what tradition things are done in.

In the meantime, the Kelowna Pagan Association has incorporated with the purpose of fronting Pagan Pride in Kelowna and supporting Pagan charitable efforts!  I always thought Okanagan Pagan Pride should be in Kelowna as the central city and I applaud their efforts!  Their website has more information.  Anything that furthers connections in the Okanagan Pagan community I'm happy to support; I'm pinning to the KPA Pintrest board as well.

Community Sabbats have been proceeding smoothly and beautifully. I think Pagan Pride is going to be amazing this year and I'm so excited that so many people are doing such great things locally.  I'm grateful that I have these awesome people here so that I can continue to write and teach quietly in the background and continue to share Pagan ritual with my community.

Earth Warriors Vs. Kinder Morgan: from "Walking the World" at the Wild Hunt

It's kind of neat when you read things that matter to you and you know all the people involved. This wonderful article about a commitment to environmentalism and one of the most important such issues that affects my country at the moment was written by my friend Dodie, about my friends Sparrow and MoJo, who are the hosts of the Wigglian Way podcast. THIS is what Pagan leadership should look like. Bless you, Sparrow and MoJo, for your wonderful work; and bless you, Dodie, for telling the world about it.
