Andrea

Took Amazon a little while, but my "Andrea" has now been published.

This is a recently inspired original play, that's very personal to me:

I have more books in the works, and more on the horizon.

Current Writing Project

Currently I'm working on a very serious project that when published, it will be hundreds of pages in length, with hundreds of hyperlinks. Much of it I worked on months ago, but was not sure what I wanted to do with all of it. I also have hundreds of pages of material to study that I personally filed away for myself, too. All that took much time to do in the beginning months of this year.

I am now ready to approach it head on. My vision is strong now, and I'm confident enough in myself that I'll be able to achieve my own objective in this.

It is an art archive, and it will be biographical in nature.

Very ambitious project for a guy who does not write nonfiction. But I'm driven by passion, and I'll learn along the way. I'm trying my hand at it, trying to find my voice. I've very excited about this. Started in earnest on it a few days ago when the idea came to me on just how to approach it. This will take time, and I'll have to figure out more things along the way of just what to include.

I won't say any more, like the working title I have for it, or who it's about here. But you are free to ask me questions privately.

A productive weekend

On the Quent Cordair Fine Art (QCFA) gallery website, they have enabled it so that one can share artwork featured there on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. So I pinned all the artwork that had inspired my creative writing pieces in my book "Five Seven Five", and changed all the hyperlinks in said book to now direct reader traffic towards my new Pinterest account instead. This took many hours to do. The cool thing about doing this, as opposed to just linking to the QCFA site like I did before, is that you can still visit the QCFA site from each pin, but you can also pin them to your own boards, make comments on my pins right there, too, I think. So it adds another level, as well as a level of protection that I did not have before, for if the QCFA links ever do not work, I don't think that that would effect the pinned images any, at least as far as I can gather. So my book was vulnerable to link changes, now it's invincible to them. What prompted this was that I saw a NEW cordair.com gallery now out there Thursday evening and it was like manic panic. To my surprise, I was able to finish the work late Friday night/early Saturday and I updated the book with the changes then.

Saturday I began writing a play I've titled "Hannah". I had only loosely plotted it beforehand, but it wrote easily. I even designed the cover for it on Saturday, as well. I uploaded the cover to my photos here with a description about it: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/autho...

And today, Sunday, I have the vast majority of "Hannah" written already. I'd say it's about 70% finished. It will be between 25-30 pages long once published. Short, yes, but I do what the writing calls for, not add in fluff just to get the page count up. If I'm the only one aboard the book's readership as a result of doing that, then so be it.

Also, my "Jen" play that I've been working on here and there for months (my longest, most charactered play) I might have thought of a better way to end it, while I was working late Friday night. Lots of things come to me when I work my job. That's because of the line of work I'm in, where it's an automatized, monotonous routine and I don't have to interact with others while doing it, so my mind is free to be able to think about my writing, imagine scenes, etc.

My fastest selling play: "Byblis and Caunus"

Today I'm seeing another spike in sales for my "Byblis and Caunus" play. It's still my fastest selling book. I love it dearly. If you try a free sample, or look inside it on Amazon, you may begin to see the moral and legal issues that I bring to the forefront in this play involving such love. All my plays deal with romantic love, in one way or another. It's an overarching theme. Readers can decide for themselves whether such a relationship can be moral and/or whether or not it should be legal. Readers who can handle this one without getting seasick aboard my readership, may be able to handle my "Myrrha and Cinyras" play, too.

You can find this play on Amazon, and on Goodreads.

Some price changes on my books

I've changed the pricing on some of my books. Also all ten of them are now listed here on Goodreads, for I just added my most recently published one earlier today. They are all available through Amazon as Kindle Editions.

Seven of my plays, are dramatic contemporary tellings of Greek myths. They are as follows, titles are in the parentheticals:

What kind of an artist falls in love with his own creation, anyway? A really crazy one, or a really good one? (Pygmalion's PlayGal) PRICE: $1.29

She never had been interested in any of the males who'd been interested in her before, so why then, is she interested in one now? What makes this male so different from all the others? (The Untold Story of Iphis and Ianthe) PRICE: $0.99

Will she ever find out who he really is? Will he ever find out who she really is? (Myrrha and Cinyras) PRICE: $1.49

He runs away from his love, because of the law. She runs after her love, because she does not care about that law. (Byblis and Caunus) PRICE: $0.99

Do their flames for one another die down when divided, or burn ever more fiercely? (The Untold Story of Pyramus and Thisbe) PRICE: $1.49

Will her love find a way to save them? (The Untold Story of Narcissus and Echo) PRICE: $0.99

Does she stand up to a bully, or does she back down, and go back to her country? (Medusa's Haircut) PRICE: $0.99

Two of my plays are not Greek myth based, and they are the following:

Good enough to be true, or too good to be true? (Assia) PRICE: $0.99

Will this be an eventful summer for her, or just another uneventful one? Will a change in a worker's routine, change anything else in his life? (Unrequited Waves) PRICE: $0.99

And lastly, this book is a collection of creative writing pieces of mine that were inspired by art, titled: "Five Seven Five". PRICE: $0.99

Also, eight of my ten book covers were designed by artist Robert C. Tracy, the other two, designed by me. You can view said covers, as well as try free samples of any of my books, should you be interested, here on my Amazon Author page:

"Medusa's Haircut" just published

This is the world premiere of my play "Medusa's Haircut", for it has just been published.

This one took me a year to do, because plot holes kept opening up on me, and it was tough as hell paving them over. During that process, I'd stop and work on other books. I'm glad I stuck it out with this one. It was well worth it. On to the next.

Author Image Update

The two photos I had on my Amazon author page, I took of me at the dawn of my writing career last year. I've outgrown them. No more playing dress up. The special occasion is over. I'm nine books deep now. No whoring my work out indiscriminately for free. I'm above all that. I'll continue to let new readers come find my works on their own in the dark, and pay for it if they want it.

Amazon says to us: "We encourage you to feature yourself in your photos, but feel free to add the photos that represent you best as an author."

And so I have.

"Assia" available now

The world premiere of my "Assia". Available now. It's my ninth published book. It's a play. The cover turned out PERFECTLY. Looks great on my device. I designed the cover myself, as I did my last book. This book was all written and published in two weeks flat. And with no outline before I started writing it.

This music I hyperlinked to in the text, works. I checked. This is it right here:

Medusa's Haircut - Final Phase

Well, "Medusa's Haircut" has reached its finishing line minutes ago. This will soon be my ninth published book. I started it late last year, but I just could not pave my way through plot holes that had opened up on me during the writing of it. I started making progress recently, then stopped to write and publish my last book, "Unrequited Waves", then went back to this one. Paved everything, but had open space at the end that I could utilize if I wanted to. I just did. I'm now going to read and reread it, until I can't find anything to change, then send it off for a reader or two to read before I publish it. :)
