Trey Branson Exclusive: how to become rich
I'm a self-made millionaire, and here are the 10 best pieces of advice I can give you about moneySTEVE SIEBOLD, CONTRIBUTOR 30
Building wealth is up to you.About six months ago my wife and I decided to turn our North Georgia summer retreat into our full-time residence. We decided to make a few changes to the property now that we would be living in it year-round.As I was getting into my car one morning, three of the workers paused from what they were doing and stared me down.I stopped and asked if everything was ok and one of the men said, "It's not fair. You have this beautiful home and a nice car while we are stuck doing hard labor for just a little more than minimum wage."I approached the men and we ended up speaking about building wealth for more than an hour. I shared with them that life wasn't always this good, and at one point I was $50,000 in debt and didn't know how I would climb out of it. The men shook my hand and thanked me for sharing my insights.Fast forward to this morning and I was again about to get into my car. A man driving a truck down the street stops in front of my house and yells, "Mr. Siebold, I took your advice and started my own company. I have five employees working for me and business is booming. My family and I are experiencing freedom like we never thought possible."He continued, "Please share your words of wisdom with others."So moved that this man turned his life around, I'm now going to take his advice and share the takeaways from that conversation six months ago:1. In a free market economy, anyone can make as much money as they want.2. Your background, highest level of education, or IQ is irrelevant when it comes to earning money.3. The fastest way to make money is to solve a problem. The bigger the problem you solve, the more money you make.4. Don't listen to the naysayers who tell you that life is supposed to be a struggleand that you should settle and be grateful for what you have.5. Expect to make more money. For this one you have to think big. $100,000, $500,000, or why not $1 million?6. Lose the fear and scarcity mindset and start seeing money for all the good things:freedom, opportunity, possibility, and abundance.7. Being rich isn't a privilege. Being rich is a right. If you create massive value for others, you have the right to be as rich as you want.8. Don't wait for your ship to come in.You're not going to be discovered, saved, or made rich by an outside force. If you want a lot of money, build your own ship. No one is coming to the rescue.9. Stop worrying about running out of money and focus on how to make more.Constantly worrying about money is no way to live. Dream about money, instead.10. Stop telling yourself that getting rich is outside of your control. The truth is that making money is an inside job.Just like the man working at my home six months ago who was frustrated over his finances and held a grudge against the rich, you too have the power to change your financial situation around. Maybe you've been living in debt for years or maybe you've just dreamed of having more; it's all possible if you make the decision and really set your mind to it.Steve Siebold is author of "How Rich People Think," and a self-made millionaire who has interviewed more than 1,200 of the world's wealthiest people.

Meek Mill is hot off the release of his most recent album, Dreams Worth More Than Money and is enjoying the LP's sales in the process.Recently speaking with HipHopDX's Shirley Ju, the Maybach Music Group artist said that he already had money when he earned his first advance."I had money a little bit already so I just added it to my bank account," Meek Mill said via a segment of today's (July 1) DX Daily. Meek also was asked about his MMG boss, Rick Ross' recent prison stay."Free Rick Ross," he said in response. "I'm praying for my homie to make it through it and hopefully he'll make it through it well."Rick Ross was arrested on June 24 for kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery charges after it was reported that he, and an accomplice, pistol-whipped his landscaper, chipping his teeth and causing other damage. Ross is currently being held in prison and was denied bond for the incident. He is slated to face a Superior Court hearing today.

50 Cent Disses Sha Money XL For Not Bailing Out Bobby Shm...

50 Cent Disses Sha Money XL For Not Bailing Out Bobby Shmurda (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) Last night XXL held its annual Freshman Class concert in New York City. Unfortunately, the night was not all about celebration. G-Unit member Kidd Kidd was arrested at the event.[ALSO READ: Kidd Kidd Of G-Unit Gets Arrested At Best Buy Theater XXL Event NYC]While Kidd Kidd was taken into custody, his boss 50 Cent showed up on stage to perform. 50 also took the time to let the audience know he would support his artist, and then threw shots at Epic Records executive Sha Money XL for not showing the same love to incarcerated rapper Bobby Shmurda.“I still don’t exactly know what the charges are [against Kidd Kidd], but I’m gonna get him out. He’ll be out by tomorrow,” 50 told the crowd. “I ain’t like Sha Money. Bobby Shmurda still in the joint. They left the n*gga in the jailhouse.”Shmurda has been locked up in Rikers Island since his arrest in Manhattan last December. His bail was set at $2 million for charges including gang conspiracy, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment.“How you gonna have money in your name, and not have money to get a n*gga out?” 50 is also heard saying.Sha Money recently told Revolt he felt Epic had done a lot to support Bobby, but it is not the company’s responsibility to bail out the “Hot N*gga” rapper....
After 50 Cent’s protege Kidd Kidd was nabbed by police officers before his XXL Freshman Class performance at Best Buy Theater in New York on Tuesday night (June 30), the G-Unit capo decided to keep fans satisfied by hitting the stage. Never one to keep his mouth shut, he also spoke out against his former manager Sha Money XL for failing to pay his Epic Records signee, Bobby Shmurda‘s bail.During a performance that also included Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck, 50 threw shots at Sha Money XL, EVP of Urban A&R for Epic Records, for his seemingly lackadaisical attitude toward the “Hot N—-” rhymer, whom Sha signed to Epic last year.“I didn’t want let y’all be disappointed. So I came out and did a little something while Kidd Kidd going through what he going through. But he’ll be out. Everything will be back in motion. I still don’t know exactly what the charges are, but I’m gonna get him out. He’ll be out by tomorrow,” Fif said regarding Kidd Kidd’s arrest. Then, the rapper let the hammer down and went in on Sha Money refusing to aid Shmurda, who’s been sitting in jail since December 2014.“I ain’t like Sha Money [XL]… Bobby Shmurda still in the joint. They left the n—-s in the jailhouse. The whole GS9,” he exclaimed to the sold out crowd at Best Buy Theater.“The whole f—ing crew still in the jail,” 50 continued. “Ain’t nobody make bail. That’s crazy. Ain’t nobody make bail? Sha Money did that s—, man. How you gon’ have money in your name and not have money to get a n—- out? Something’s not right. Something’s not right about all this.”In an interview with Revolt last month, Sha Money XL explained that the blame should not be put on Epic Records: “It’s not their fault.” “That’s my bro, I’m with him till the end, no matter what,” he said. “Hopefully we could find a way to get him out, which we are trying.”Sha Money XL hasn’t responded to 50 Cent’s diss.Things behind bars aren’t going so well for Shmurda. Last week, he was arrestedat Rikers Island, where he is currently incarcerated, and charged with promoting prison contraband after he took a weapon from his girlfriend during a jail visit. He will likely remain in jail, being held on a $2 million bail, until his trial on conspiracy and gun charges takes place on Oct. 5.Next: 10 Songs Guaranteed to Rule Summer 2015See 100 Hip-Hop Facts That Will Blow Your Mind

Trey Branson Exclusive: Chris Brown AKA Chris "Curry"
Chris Brown Puts Defender On Skates During Celebrity Basketball Game
On Saturday, a handful of famous individuals from the world of music and sports came together for the BET Celebrity Basketball Game. The contest also included Chris Brown, who showed everyone (once again) what he's capable of with the rock in his hands. After shaking free from a double team, Chris caught his initial defender with a quick crossover that nearly had him doing a split.
Yikes! This is all supun and games, but clearly, Breezy wasn't playing.
Chris Brown put together a little highlight reel at BET's Sprite Celebrity Basketball Game on Saturday night. The singer put the moves on two defenders, practically forcing one of them into a full split before dishing the ball to his teammate. You can see Brown spin away from one opponent, then shake another with a nifty crossover, causing him to lose his footing and slide as if he'd slipped on ice. Other famous names at the event included John Wall, Snoop Dogg, Baron Davis, Floyd Mayweather and rapper Meek Mill.

Wave “Tony Atlas” Brinson Speaks: The Truth About Hustling & Selling Drugs!
I appreciate the brother showing concern for his neighbors who purchase the poison products that slowly saps life from people, and threaten the overall health of entire communities populated mostly by peaceful thinking people like the wise man in this video.I am sure Tupac would have appreciated if neighborhood drug dealers did not sell his mom the poison that sapped her life and deprived his family of living an Average Joe American life, as well as causing Tupac to wake in the morning wondering if he should blast himself, as he describes in his 'That's Just The Way It Is' rap.In 2011 Kendrick Lamar told LAWeekly, "I'm 6 years old, seein' my uncles playing with shotguns, sellin' dope in front of the apartment. My moms and pops never said nothing, 'cause they were young and living wild, too."I have to believe Kendrick was not happy witnessing adults responsible for his well being doing 'stuff' his elementary school teachers were telling him was harmful to his sisters, brothers, cousins, parents and neighbors.Dealing with all that mind twisting turmoil, being taught conflicting values, can't be easy for a little six-year-old boy who just wants to be an Average Joe American kid living a safe, fairly happy kid life, yet parents "living wild" parents are irresponsibly placing obstacles in his way, intentionally depriving him of being a happy little kid who feels safe and does not have to worry about his family and friends being shot at and killed.I like the message this wise man shared with his brothers and viewers.Perhaps his next message of peace and unity will be for his sisters, discussing Pride In Parenting that almost always results with little boys and girls feeling safe, loved and happy...maturing into teens and adults who want to please their parents by replicating the good choices their parents made that helped them grow and thrive.

Jay Z & Beyonce No Longer World’s Highest Paid Celebrity CoupleBY HHE EDITORS · JUNE 26, 2015
Jay Z and Beyonce have been Forbes’ highest-paid celebrity couple ever since they started ranking the category a few years ago.But this year they have been eclipsed by a younger power couple.Taylor Swift has been utterly dominating the music world since her album 1989 dropped in October of 2014. Her boyfriend, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, is one of music’s biggest earners, and has endorsement deals with Giorgio Armani and Sol Republic headphones. Together, they made $146 million in income over the past year, making them the best-paid celebrity coupleJay and Bey pulled in $110 million, putting them second. (The list ranks income, not net worth.)Now they just need to wait for the famously fickle Swift to dump or be dumped by Harris and date somebody poorer.SHARE838300

Trey Branson Exclusive: Cari Champion Exits ESPN's First Take
Breaking News: Why Cari Champion really left ESPN's First Take.
Since it's inception, I have been a loyal viewer of First Take. Long before Stephen A. Smith. When it was Skip Bayless vs the World. In 2012 when Stephen A. Smith became a permanent debater and Cari Champion joined as host, the show saw an immediate spike in the ratings. There was a cute face and some calming energy to off set Skip and Stephen A "Step Brothers" esque arguing style. There was finally someone to keep them focused, make timely transitions from one topic to the next and to put a nice, tidy little bow on the 10-15-minute blocks of banter. Although the show was doing great I never quite felt that everyone was on the same page. Skip had good chemistry with Cari, but she and Stephen A. never seemed to click. In my opinion, it had very little to do with the fact that Skip and Cari were in the studio together every day while Stephen A was mostly via satellite from the road. Cari actually had more in common with Stephen A than with Skip Bayless. Cari Champion is a black woman married to a black man and Stephen A. Smith is a black man. Not that race is important in on-air chemistry. For some reason, the two just didn't have it. Whatever "It" is. Anyone who frequently watches the show knows what I'm talking about. Stephen A always seemed annoyed with Champion. I've never heard him agree with her analysis or validate her opinions. There were times when Cari cut Stephen A short while he was making a point and blamed it on producers. There were times when she cut segments short with guests that Stephen A was chummy with much to his dismay. Also, Cari would routinely read from the wrong monitor or stumble over her words. If you know one thing about Stephen A. Smith, you know he can't hide his feelings. His face gives it away every time. At least twice a day Cari got the gas face. To her credit, she often ignored Stephen A's looks of exasperation, condescending tone or curt responses. His love affair with Floyd Mayweather didn't do their on-air relationship any favors. Cari, the consummate professional and champion of women's causes often stopped short of slamming Money Mayweather for his alleged treatment of women on several occasions. Stephen A chose to focus on Floyd Mayweather the businessman, the tactician and icon. Cari did get Smith back by showing overt favoritism to Skip Bayless who took Mayweather to task, handled her with kinder, gentler hands and even when he put her in her place did it with a bit of finesse. On-air chemistry is one of those things where either you have it or you don't. There is no almost, no sort of or no kinda. It's like a shoe. Either it fits or it doesn't. I'm not intimating that Stephen A is a bad guy or that he has something against women regardless of a few off-color remarks he's made about the opposite sex. I supported Stephen A in those incidents. As a sidebar, Champion never publicly admonished Stephen A for his slip-ups. Their lack of chemistry probably wasn't personal. He just seemed to not be very fond of Cari's style of moderating. The company line they spewed on Cari's last episode was that Cari confided in him (Stephen A. Smith) when she began her stint at First Take that she had ambitions of one day becoming a Sports Center anchor. Yeah right!! Because of these reasons, Cari Champion's absence will be noticed but not sorely missed. Get in the comment box and tell me what you think about Cari's stint on First Take.
