Want to see your favorite Willow Creek characters come to life?

http://iflist.com/stories/craving#

Have you ever read a book and thought to yourself that you'd like to see it made into a television show or movie? Did you feel that way when you read Craving? Well, here is a chance to help make that thought a reality.

I need supporters! I know this is a complete shot in the dark and nothing will ever come of it, but you just never know. Go to the website above and click support on the right side of the page. The more supporters, the better chance it has to be seen by someone in the TV/movie industry. You can also propose your own actors/actresses you'd like to see play the part of your favorite Willow Creek characters. Thanks and feel free to share the link to spread the word!

In other news while I have your attention, I will be announcing another appearance set for next year sometime in the next few days! As it is, here are my confirmed appearances for next year:
March 14, 2015 - Authors in the City, Myrtle Beach, SC
May 22-25, 2015 - Almost Heaven Book Signing, Morgantown, WV
November 7-8, 2015 - Rebels & Readers, Huntington, WV

Let me know if there is ever a convention or author event where you'd like to see me. If I don't know where I'm wanted, it's hard to determine where to go. :)

Sometimes I think I watch too much television...

But then I see a new commercial or preview for one of my shows, and I quickly forget that I think I watch too much television. Seriously, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Sleepy Hollow, Outlander... Who can resist?

My Venture into Erotic Short Stories - Saved by the Bear Available Now!

Picture Back in June, I realized I had all these little snippets of stories in my head that would make for some interesting shorts. I'd written a short story, Love Forgotten, that was chosen to be included in an anthology (Cough Cough Stardust: A Futuristic Romance Collection on sale now http://www.amazon.com/Stardust-Futuri... Cough Cough), and I really enjoyed writing a shorter story. I found it challenging at first to condense everything into one short story, but soon found that it really was something I enjoyed doing. That particular story is PG-13, but I was interested in writing some spicier stuff.

So I read and researched everything I could about the do's and don'ts (though the dont's were pretty scarce) of writing erotic short stories. One of the main pieces of advice I found was to write under a pen name. DO THIS NO MATTER WHAT!!! Ok, I might be exaggerating a little there with the all caps, but you get the point. Thus, Lainie London was born.

Lainie had a lot more sales than I ever thought she would considering I did zero promotion for her. She released three short stories, but one easily outsold the other two. Saved by the Bear was doing well without me doing anything to pimp it, so I got to thinking. Why should Lainie get all the credit for MY work? Yes, I know that sounds strange referring to me as someone else, but she really is a separate entity as far as the book world is concerned. I'm starting to build a strong readership under my own name and I know there are people who read Craving and Haunting that would enjoy Saved by the Bear. It's about a giant hunk of man beast who happens to turn into a bear from time to time, who wouldn't love that? Why should I hide behind a pen name when I know there are readers who thoroughly enjoy erotica? I have fairly explicit sex scenes in The Willow Creek Vampires Series so why was I hiding?

Well, I've decided I'm done hiding. I understand why erotic authors use pen names, probably some of the same reasons I initially chose to use one: feeling weird when your family, friends, co-workers, whatever reads it and you're sure they'll begin to see you in a different, less-savory light; not wanting people to think just because you write something means you've lived it because I don't know anyone who has actually got it on with a werebear... You get the point. There are also some very taboo topics written about in the erotic genre and I understand completely why someone would use a pen name in those instances. Point is, I'm not knocking pen names. If that's what you want to do then that is fantabulous. I've just decided it's not for me for the time being. I'd rather release my stories so all the people who have grown to love my stories get the chance to read all of them.

So without further ado, Saved by the Bear was released today under the name Stephanie Summers.

SYNOPSIS:

Seraphina has been given to a cruel and sadistic man to settle her mother's debt. She sees a chance for freedom, and bolts into the thickness of the nearby forest. As she makes her escape, she discovers a panther hot on her trail. Just as the animal is about to pounce on her, a grizzly bear emerges from the trees. What happens when both the panther and the bear shift into men before her very eyes? Why is the man who had been a bear moments before hell-bent on protecting her? And why does she find herself so damned attracted to him?

Saved by the Bear is an erotic shifter short story (~8,000 words). It is intended solely for readers 18 and older due to strong language and explicit depictions of sexual acts. Enjoy!
