Queensland, Australia

In the second book in the series, PJ will explore Queensland, Australia.

It is a beautiful place, with amazing beaches, tropical rainforests, sugar cane fields, and, of course, the Great Barrier Reef.

There are loggerhead turtles, lorikeets, koalas, kangaroos, and an abundance of tropical fish.

The two main things you will need to learn to get around are:

(1)   how to drive on the ‘other’ side of the car and the ‘other’ side of the road  (a helpful hint….if you are the driver, you should always be in the center of the road, your passenger should be toward the sidewalk or curb side.  I know this sounds obvious, but when you are trying to leave a parking lot and deciding which way to turn to not be killed, it is a very useful thought)  and

(2)   the lingo.  If you know how to abbreviate most of your words, you should be fine.

For example: Brizzy – Brisbane; Chrissy – Christmas; cozzies/togs – swimsuits; G’day – hello/good day; you’ll be right – you will figure it out/you will be all right; rip – a strong ocean current that can take you out to sea;
