“Listen to me, your body is not a temple. Temples can be destroyed and desecrated. Your body is a forest. Thick canopies of maple trees and sweet scented wildflowers sprouting in the underwood. You will grow back, over and over, no matter how badly you are devastated.”

and still
never know the way.
You always felt like
a place I’d never been.”

“I sense that I am slowly letting go. That I’m growing less in love with you every single day. I think that’s the most difficult thing about losing someone you have loved, the way you feel never really dies all at once. All you can do is wait and watch it turn back to dust one day at a time.”

"You’ve really got to question people’s intentions with you before you allow yourself to..."
“You’ve really got to question people’s intentions with you before you allow yourself to dive in too deeply. Human beings are survivalists by nature and are capable of doing just about anything to get ahead. To further their careers, social status, or feel financially secure. They will abuse your generosity, trust, and tenderness and call it love. The saddest part is, over time, these people often will come to develop sincere feelings for you, but when you start such a rare, beautiful thing from such an ugly, insincere place, it corrupts the relationship forever. Be authentic to yourself. Be honest and kind to each other. Human beings aren’t rungs on a ladder and you will never make it anywhere without solid foundations, i.e. true friendships, deep loves, and meaningful connections in your life.”

“I trust in the universe to unfold as it should, to reveal my path and guide me along on my journey. But I also recognise that sometimes fate requires a little push. That while the cosmos may provide me with the blueprint to my destiny, it is my duty to get my hands dirty and build something of it.”

“I know it is my decision to sit in this grief. My fault alone I have been losing hours looking back on where we went wrong. And tormenting myself wondering whose body now lies next to yours. But releasing the pain would mean letting the last of you go, and I’m just not ready to do that.”

“This is when you know it is over. When you find yourselves constantly scrambling for something to hold onto. When every kiss, sorry glance, and soft graze of a hand feels like you are calling out to each other in silent desperation from far, far across the stars.”
