Animal Crossing Noir Returns!
Many of you may remember Animal Crossing Noir - a personal passion project of mine to narrate my gameplay experiences in the form of a surreal, Chandler-esque journey through the 3DS game Animal Crossing New Leaf.
It's been resurrected thanks to Family Gamer TV and commissioned as a 10-part motion comic on their YouTube channel. The first four episodes - released as a podcast in 2013 - have been remixed with new music and effect and set to images grabbed from the game itself. What results is a compelling and unique web series.
Into the magical land of Animal Crossing comes a new visitor: a stranger on a train who has no memory of boarding and no idea of his destination. A place where the townsfolk keep him prisoner and the mayor's assistant Isabelle knows more than she reveals. He escaped from Animal Crossing once before. What would compel him to return? Can he escape the town a second time?
You can catch Animal Crossing Noir here and the first episode is below. Enjoy!

Opportunity for the Official Elite: Dangerous Computer to Appear in Escape Velocity

Using Verity wasn't in the original budget, so it would be great if we could find more backers to get us to the next Patreon milestone ($1000). The existing Patrons are already doing their part, so please spread the word, share the Patreon page with anyone who expresses any kind of love for Escape Velocity or Sci-Fi Audio Drama and lets get those extra lovely people on board!
In other news, recording began today with the arrival of Amy Timms to the studio to reprise her role as May Havelock! It was great to have Amy back behind the mic and it really feels like production on EV has properly started now that Amy has done her stuff. If you've not yet heard Amy in the previous 11 episodes of Escape Velocity, head over to the Escape Velocity website to hear them!

Chaos Reborn Audio Drama Funded!

I wanted to say a huge thank you to all the backers, here as well as on other sites. it really is down to you that this project is moving forward and it is fantastic to have your support.
This audio series is being developed in partnership with Snapshot Games and Julian Gollop and I look forward to working with Julian and Allen (Stroud) to develop the fiction and scripts to be as true to the game as possible. Now that the Kickstarter is complete, work on finishing the scripts will begin and we'll get some actors booked as soon as we're clear on the qualities needed for each character.
We still need to do a little bit of work to get our online store back up and running, but as soon as that is done you'll see details of the new drama episodes appearing and we'll be putting up pages all about the project, with cast details and other credits.
Keep an eye out to for our new hall of fame. This will be appearing shortly and will be the first place we record our thanks to the named backers who made this project possible!
Until then, don't forget to 'like' our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter.

A Massive Escape Velocity Thank You
Thank you to everybody to got involved with the 12-hr livestream for my audio drama Escape Velocity! It's been a wild day, with the Elite: Dangerous community once again surpassing my expectations with their generosity of time, support and funding.
Christopher Jarvis presents the 12-hr fundraising livestream for Escape VelocityIt is with great pleasure I can announce that you all smashed the initial Patreon milestone (and made short work of the next two) and Escape Velocity can now go into development. I'm really excited for this and so grateful to the fantastic community that's made all of this happen, not just today but for all the help leading up to this point.
Special thanks to Zac Antonaci, from Frontier Developments, for coming on at the beginning and answering any questions possible on Horizons and Planet Coaster, thanks to Ben (Cmdr Eid LeWeise) and Cmdr Bikky for keeping me company for the first part of the Escape Velocity locations tour, thanks to Liam McCauley, Rebecca Keeves, and Amy Timms from the cast of Escape Velocity for coming on and being interviewed and sharing memories from previous recordings. Thank you to Julian Gollop for coming on and talking Chaos Reborn and being so fantastic in the support of that "other" Kickstarter!
Delving into gaming history with Interphase
Thank you to Allen Stroud for coming and talking music and Interphase and Cmdr DrToxic for winging up and bailing me out when I lost track of fuel. Thank you to Ben Moss-Woodward, Darren Grey, Dave Hughes and Grant Woolcott for playing the RPG and a special extra thank you to Dave Hughes for continually keeping the clickable Patreon link in the Twitch chat. Thank you to the Lave Radio crew for ongoing support and the loan of the Twitch channel for the day and for all the other streamers who hosted the stream. And an extra thank you to Grant for continuing to be awesome. A special thank you to my wife for bringing me sustenance while I was locked in the studio, for finding stuff, keeping child entertained and for ongoing love and support throughout these projects!
And a big Thank You also to everyone who watched, tweeted, contributed and backed the project. This is down to you all!
Interviewing Amy Timms (May from Escape Velocity)
I am in the process of moving the videos to YouTube and making sense of them all. Please bear with me if you missed the stream and want to catch up. The videos can, at the moment of writing, still be viewed on the Lave Radio Twitch Channel. There is still one active milestone on the Escape Velocity Patreon page and I really hope that more and more fans will continue to come and give their support to the project. The money all goes into making new episodes of Escape Velocity as excellent as they can be, and the next milestone would give us the opportunity to get some proper artwork commissioned for EV, for the first time ever!
Right On, Commanders!
