A Movie About Hot Fighters? Hell Yes!

Ok. I never go to the movies. Never. I don't watch TV (except The Walking Dead). Yes, I'm THAT person. 
But this movie interests me. Very much. It takes two of my favorite things *half-naked hot guys and watching said hot guys fight* and puts them into a drama filled two hours.
Watch the trailer. It look so good. Not to mention fist bumps for the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal plays a lefty (go lefties!). He's like my own Drew Forrester come to life. Or maybe Rick "Ricochet" Brennan. Or Dax Davies. Are you sensing a theme here with my heroes? Unfortunately, we have to wait until July to watch sweaty men pummel each other.

A Nod to the Hardworking Blogger

No, not me. I blog, but infrequently as you can see. This post is dedicated to every single book blogger I've worked with and those I haven't. These (usually women) bloggers work for free. They dedicate their time and energy into something they love (books) without expecting to receive a payout. Yes, some can parlay it into a pretty good career if they get sponsors or do paid promotion, but most of them do it for the love of reading.
Indie authors such as myself would be nowhere without the hard work and dedication of these women. They make do on their promises, write great reviews on a deadline, and sometimes you get those who go above and beyond and they even create great art for you.
I wanted to thank in particular, Carissa, from Got More Books Blog for her beautiful artwork that she did for my serial, Ricochet. Here is her review, and the artwork is below.

My Bookbub Ad (info for authors)

Okay. So here's some data for authors interested in Bookbub. This is very early, but I'll give the initial scoop.

Keep in mind, I made book 1 of a 4 book series Free. This is the book they advertised. My sales history has proven a steady 30% of those who download book 1 free purchase the next 3 books. That is what I'm counting on.

So, as of yesterday on Amazon (I haven't checked Google, iTunes, Smashwords... yet) there were 35K downloads. I expect the residual bump in sales to spread out over 6-8 weeks. I mean, not many people download then immediately read the book, then immediately buy book 2, right?
But... so far, I've made back more than the $300 I paid for the Bookbub ad... in just 1 day! 

I'll keep you updated as the bump in sales in the rest of the series pans out.
As you can see, my book, Relatively Famous, ended up #1 on both Amazon Free Romance, Contemporary Romance, and New Adult. It also hit #2 on all of Amazon Free books!

Books, authors, and friends

Is there anything better than meeting new people and finding out how cool they are? Only if they're as into books as you are!!!
