Playing with a lighter til something
set ablaze
Instead of putting it out he got stuck
inside a daze

How something so beautiful could burn
all in sight
Like a campfire gone wrong on a dark,
dark night

A tear fell from his eye as he watched
it all come down
Enjoying every last minute with it,
crashing to the ground

He knew his mistake, he knew these
things would not return
Funny what time can do when we watch it
as it burns;

I don’t want to feel alone
Won’t you caress me tonight
When I can’t take much more
I just want to be inside of you
You comfort me and keep me warm
Giving me a place to hide
Touching every inch of me
Sleeping in tranquility
Wrapping all around me with your skin
Settled inside of your nest
Feel like I can finally put it all to
rest
In this blanket never wanting to let
go;

A Chill

A sudden breeze
Running down my spine
Rattling the cages
Just like miniature demons

Out of the dark
Suddenly I’m struck
The cold air touches me
Start to feel the chill again

Weather changes
As seconds go by
The chaos unravels
Close my eyes and wait for zen;
A Moment In Connection
You tell me what I need
You tell me my life’s plan
There’s no choice
Accept the consequences of being alive
Your life is written in his book

Fine by me
Meanwhile I’ll write my own

Dreaming of her face
In awe of every word she says
I don’t need heaven
Just a moment of this
Is enough for eternal life;
