The Green Stimulus' Red Ink
Michael Grunwald has had some grumbly things to say on Twitter about my Book Club entry on his book, the New New Deal. This is very unreasonable of him. An author arguing a point of view has a right to be annoyed if the quality of his work has been unfairly slighted. He has no right to demand that the whole world be swayed by his thesis.

Hanukkah, the Season of Lights
Mrs. Frum is completing her seasonal decoration of stately Frum manor in advance of our annual holidays party. Years ago, the question arose: Is it Jewish to decorate the house for Hanukkah? My son Nathaniel, then aged eight, settled the debate: "It's the festival of lights, right? So why can't we have lights?"

A Civil War Professor Reviews 'Lincoln'
Allen Guelzo is the director of the Civil War studies department at Gettysburg College.
