One-Review Reviewers Are People, Too

For those not familiar with this topic, let me explain: Some people assume that reviewers with only one posted review on a site must be fake.

While I don’t disagree this isn’t ever the case, I have a few counter arguments:

Friends and family. This is the primary accusation, but I have to wonder why friends and family opinions don’t count in the big world of reviewing? Just because the author got to know this person during mini-golf team building day, that coworker’s thoughts are suddenly null a...

Discussion: The Value of Reviews

It’s funny that no matter how much you prepare, there will always be these tiny little details that didn’t make it into your world domination plans. The little gems you didn’t think about like:

How long, exactly, can I survive on coffee and tacos?

Do the sleep deprivation hallucinations actually have good ideas?

What did I do before I started this book thing?

My current question—and one I actually have an answer for (amazing, right?)—is concerning book reviews. I know a few things: don’t respond...

Summoned Review by Monica Pulliam #bookreview #summoned #amreading

I’m sharing Summoned reviews until release day, March 28th, as they are posted on GoodReads. After that, I plan to drop off GoodReads anyway. Too much drama over there, in general, and some of the company I keep have been or currently are targeted by the infamous GoodReads bullies, so I figure my turn is inevitable. I’m good with that; I just don’t intend to waste energy on it.

Until release, though, I will continue to share the awesome things, such as Monica Pulliam’s review of Summoned.
