Lovelightliness

we are stardust, and the space surrounding us is fulsome fabric, a garment of lightly worn love

Master List Of Vegan Info

ruthhawe:

Extremely comprehensive and admirably compiled resource / info listings here:

I am 100% Abolitionist Vegan and 100% against exploitation of nonhuman and human animals, violence against humans, Welfarism and anything else that makes it seem like violence or exploitation of animals is ok. If any of those positions are endorsed on any site in this list, or any language is used to imply that, it’s not that I included that link because I agree, but simply because I don’t control every bit of information on all these sites.

Note: This list now has a permanent home (as permanent as anything online, anyway) here:

It’s the only location I’ll be updating regularly. Please use that link if you want the latest additions to the list.

Also, here’s a survey on Veganism you can take:

On Morality: Why Violence Will Never Advance The Animal Rights Movement (or any movement)

ruthhawe:

as a pacifist I liked reading this :)

Violence can never advance the true Animal Rights movement (Abolitionist Veganism) because it does not solve problems, either in an abstract respect nor from a practical one.

Here, in my opinion, are the reasons why:

1. Violence is immoral – True Veganism is a movement that is fundamentally about non-violence, it’s not only against violence by humans towards nonhumans, but also against humans towards other humans. If violence by humans against nonhumans is immoral, then violence by humans against other humans is also immoral, using the same criteria. Also, raping women who wear fur or killing vivisectors and factory farm workers is not Self-Defense nor is it Defense Of Others. Self-Defense/Defense Of Others occurs when the person committing the original violence understands why their violence is wrong. Since  the people killing the factory farm workers or vivisectors etc. will not take the time to educate them all about Veganism, this rule does…

The stresses upon you have been increasing enormously.

ruthhawe:

I needed to hear this reminder that I am One with the Love the illusory world requires to perfect the overthrow of fear, separation, distrust and anguish. Having long gone beyond the place of denial, having so long burdened myself with the sufferings and sorrows, and the subsequent guilt of transcending these slimy deceptors…………..just to BE the presence of Love, the holder of Light, and the bridge of Truth, even if merely during meditation IS being the change, making manifest the Vegantopia which already exists within my defenceless heart.

This is a very difficult and stressful time for you all, especially as you pay compassionate and concerned attention to the vast amount of suffering and deprivation that is being endured by so many all over the world. The tsunami of Love is flowing powerfully and intensely through your illusory dream-scape. It is very effective and it is stirring up all your unaddressed issues which have been lying like mud or sand at the bottom of the pond that is your unconscious, the vast hidden area of your mind where all that you could not bear to face has lain hidden for eons. All that “muck” has to be released and cleared away so that the Light that each one of you carries with you constantly can shine forth brightly as divinely intended. As It does so you will become increasingly aware of the divine Light shining forth from others…

Burmese Chickpea Tofu – Two Ways

Originally posted on Vibrantly Vegan:

Wow!!  Just wow!!  This recipe will be changing so much in my kitchen!  I would never have imagined that I’d be making my own tofu, but chickpea tofu is incredibly easy to make, incredibly healthy, and truly and incredibly delicious!  My whole family loves tofu and while I do not give any validity to the rumor mill regarding the alleged health risks of soy (please

for information about the soy myth), I do believe in everything in moderation.  So when I came across this recipe, I couldn’t wait to try it, and it exceeded all of my expectations!

The basic recipe is all over the internet so I can’t tell where it originated.  Therefore, sadly, I can’t give proper credit.  I will say, however, that I am very grateful to whomever created this dish!

Most recipes online say that chickpea tofu is not good stir-fried or sautéed like soy tofu, but I…

Vegantopia Visioning

My book launch on Saturday went really well: I had it at Vegfest Brighton which was wonderful! Who could wish for a better place, surrounded by so many radiant like-hearted beautiful people :) My presentation took the form of a few readings from "Holy Cow" where heroine Daisy describes her visionary idyll Vegantopia, followed by a guided journey there. Then the group shared their experiences of how it feels to find yourself over the rainbow into the peaceable kingdom where there is no death industry or enslavement of other beings. Only when we cease killing and commodifying fellow Earthlings will we come to peace amongst ourselves and stop warring.

It is upon my heart so forcefully that we must start giving attention, intention, focus and will to envisioning the world we wish to live in. And when done in groups this is much more powerful and impactful. Our thoughts shape reality, and our world has been shaped by the largely unconscious mass mentality, hence so easily led by deceptive advertisers, greedy corporations, and those with sinister agendas. But when we gather together to celebrate the sacred mysterious wonderment of our Earth, in love and deep respect as Guardians, we are accelerating the awakenment process. Taking back our power and revealing our true purpose here at this transformative time.

Yes, activism and raising awareness of the horrors happening is vitally necessary. But unless it is balanced by dedicated concentration upon the solutions, we are perpetuating the old conflict, struggle and survivalist paradigm. Worry is prayer for what you don't want, whereas hopefilled speaking, writing and living of our highest dreams is the way to manifest them into the physical. Please reflect upon this, and determine to devote a portion of every day to making it so :) Thank you so much, together we ARE co-creating the Gentle World <3
