653 - Through Hope and Faith and Fire
I

elation. What had happened in the
Imperial Chapel finally came searing back to mind. I had been opened by the God, at least in
spirit. The dross in my soul had begun to run like hot wax.

648 - Yes, Mother
The
crowd roared their response, a huge, wordless affirmative sound, like a rejin called to action or response. In the wild roar I realized I was limping and
stopped to let the one intact sandal be removed from my foot.
I
stared at the solas dekinas kneeling
and it was as if I could see layers and layers and layers of images overlaid on
the scene in the Temple, the priests and the

647 -What Makes the Sword of Arko
It was only my long practice that drove me through
the first two steps for Aras. My heart
was shrivelling up inside me as I began the absolutely precise moves for Aras
under Second Amitzas's withering blue eyes and then I told myself No, that is
the God. When the Mahid was my teacher
there was some prayer to Aras there, whether he willed it, or not.
I took my shaking breathing and my

646 - He Showed Me the Face
Sorry for the short post, social obligations. More later today i.e. Tuesday because I posted one minute late.

I blinked and found myself holding aloft my left
hand, bare of glass. What had happened?
It must be in the hands of the dekina... yes. There it was, in her hands. I blinked and
blinked again trying to orient myself after what felt like a hard and killing

645 - Rubbing My Belly
As
I stepped up, my eyes locked on Dimae's statue, I caught a faint chorus of "Six!
Six Ten!" The crowd. Was I imagining it or could I hear Kyriala
and Gannara and Farasha's voices in the bedlam, "I/We love you!"
I could hear Bella barking,
but that was impossible, the big-assed, once Mahid bitch was safely in the
Marble Palace. But I could hear her
booming, raw,
