Zoe Brooke is a young woman attempting to find a new path for her life after tragedy and heartbreak sent her running home to Slippery Rock. As a nurse, she takes a job caring for Leo Kydd and finds her high school crush is suddenly back in her life.
Both Miles and Zoe have demons that they keep hidden from one another in fear. Life continues to throw curveballs at them and they both have to decide whether to move forward or to buckle under the pressure and pain.
Neither one is ready for love.
At least that’s what they once thought.

Hubs: (goes to look at phone then turns back to me) Technically, yes it is.
Me: (not so jokingly) EXCUSE ME????
Hubs: (shows me the phone) It's a text from you, asking when I'll be home from work.
Me: I sent that like an hour ago. Wait, did you just call me your whore?
Hubs: If my d*** fits...
Me: (smacking him on the back of his head and talking to him like I would talk to a dog) Bad! Bad boy! No!
Hubs: (laughing and shielding himself from my attack) You like it bad... Come here...
Me: Pfft, yeah right. Go like yourself.
