Jerry@GoodReads

On my GoodReads account, you can see how erudite and well-read I am. I’ve been using GoodReads lately to track the books I’m reading and want to read. I’m not yet sure how useful it is, however, it does seem useful to discuss books with other readers. I’ve added it to my Keep in touch section below the blogroll, and I’ve also added a link to recent books across the top of this section of Mimsy.

Break up DC

“Politicians have spoke endlessly about breaking up big banks in recent years, but Palin is crusading to break up Washington. There were a lot of platitudes and red meat at the Freedom Summit, but Palin put forth a significant idea to reduce cronyism and making government get closer to the people.” I should have known not to listen to the media blowhards telling me what Palin said. Getting rid of capitol cities is a great reform idea. Capitols concentrate partisans of big government in one place. I only have to look south to Austin to see the dangers of government concentrated in one place.

Twelve cookies on a plate

There are twelve cookies on a plate. The left says that they can feed the poor without taking your cookies away, only by taking that rich guy’s cookies away.

God willing and the movie blurb don’t rise

Evil will rise. Son will rise. A lot of rising going on in the movie theater.
