For example… you think you’re ‘All That’ and decide to go on a Caribbean vacay in January… and then go skiing a week later, all ‘Lifestyles of The Wannabe Rich and Famous’…

No, no no no!You come off a plane from Cuba (where it was in the 80's and 90's!) , and 72 hours later you’re on a ski hill (where's it's FREAKING FREEZING!) … you know how you wake up the next day?Do ya???? Yeah… just great. SOOOOooo sexy!Sooo La-Di-Dah!Spent two days in bed in the hotel while the Dear Husband Spike hit the damn slopes! Okay, Game of Thrones is on hiatus for MORE THAN A YEAR on HBO, and I’ve asked you guys for suggestions for movies to watch on ol’ Netflix. Aaaand because of James (thanks for the Kodi info), and Jim (gonna love Reign I think), Lonnie and April I have a bunch of recommendations for great TV viewing.
My favorite movie this summer is one from last summer, though. Thanks to Netflix, I got a second chance to see it. I saw it at the theater last year, but being able to watch in my living room actually made the experience more enjoyable; I LOVE the pause button! If you saw it, give it another chance; I’m sure glad that April mentioned it last week through this newsletter.The movie?

 The reviews and the excitement over here over Accidental Swingers has stunned me! I can’t believe how many of you love the book, and how many of you left reviews! It’s been my most successful book so far!  I'm stunned! STUNNED I say!And in private emails and on the reviews, I found out that a lot of ya, a L O T of ya would love to see Matt and Elena’s story continue!WHAT?Now waitaminnit! More Snow!!!  News From The Home Front:

This past winter started off magically, as I told you guys about in my last newsletter. The skiing at Mt. Tremblant was so wonderful that Spike (my Dear Husband) and I returned there for a week in March. It was fantastic. The love story about the husband and wife who founded this wonderful skiing experience is compelling. And the skiing was fantastic.

But my skiing’s over for this year now. After we returned, I came down with a case of the flu that had me in bed for more than a week. You ever get so sick you can’t remember being healthy? Yeah, it was that bad a sick, let me tell you.

But while I was laid up (and not in a good way) LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! I published this on Amazon this month and it made a couple of best seller lists on their site, but when I got the notification that it was a HOT NEW RELEASE I felt much better!

NHL Hockey playoffs are going to start in two weeks and he’s pumped because the NY Rangers are in the running for a playoff berth!

I keep asking him how the heck a guy who grew up in the Bronx (there’s not ONE ice rink in the entire borough) got into hockey. He said he didn’t understand the game till he moved to Canada. Oh well..

Sacha Lasalle has been published in The Mammoth Book of Urban Erotic Confessions and has also contributed to the upcoming book The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 13, edited by the venerable Maxim Jakubowski. When Sacha is not participating in the generous community of the Erotica Readers and Writers Association, she continues her exploration of the human landscape — flaws and all — and what it means to write erotic fiction. 
1.       What are you working on?At the moment I'm spending more time writing for anthologies than I am writing novel length. The current piece I'm writing focuses on a certain trigger between two characters that initiates their interaction, although the process hasn't been all that smooth. I often visualize character scenes, but sometimes they don't quite come out the way I envisage.The novel length piece I'm working on has an element of coming of age, but is not quite that in the story. I'm exploring two characters (Jack and Charlie) through different timelines, and how what has happened between them continues to affect them as time goes on.
2.      How does your work differ from other authors' work in the same genre?For me I'd say that my style is beginning to manifest itself a little more often of late, as it doesn't always reflect in what I write. Words have a certain melodic character, or sound when I'm writing in what I would identify as my style (which is something I discovered as an adolescent). I tend to receive comments on the imagery or mood evoked which is humbling because readers are relating or connecting to what I'm writing. It doesn't always work though.I also have a tendency to be a little ambiguous. I freely admit that I struggle to write narrative that explains every little detail. I want to give my readers that respect, part for the pleasure of their own interpretation and part for their own intelligence. I suppose it's an unspoken request to invest a little for gratification.
3.      Why do you write in your genre?Our relationship with sex fascinates me. From the sexual revolution and cultural behavior to transgressive elements, our reactions to sex are interesting. Although my writing does not focus on the first two particulars, there are questions I think about, that while not always evident, shape my characters and the way they see things.The exploration of transgressive elements can give opportunity for more dimension or depth. As humans we have an interesting way of compartmentalizing and labeling things so that we are more comfortable with them. I respect authors that are able to challenge the status quo, by forcing us to ask ourselves why we see or react to things the way we do.  That being said, it's not something I'm necessarily setting out to do as there are highly gifted and intelligent authors already doing so. If there ever was an end goal, it's to write that something that slips deep beneath the skin and embeds itself there. Something that never quite leaves you.Aside from that, it's for the pleasure.
4.      How does writing process work?It depends on the length of the piece. Short stories that are more scene driven, I try to write in one sitting. Novel length works start off with a scene or idea. Sometimes I write the scene, then plot. When plotting I'll write timelines to avoid confusion later on, and I'll write questions concerning conflicts and resolution.Sometimes I also write with music. It just depends, as I go for long periods with, or without. Sex however, is not just something that is a part of the story, it's integral to the characters. Finding that balance is certainly part of the challenge.

Overboard is live!

Yes, I'm putting this post up to pimp my latest novel. That's what you have to do if you're working at developing a career as a writer! To tell the truth, I really have a lot of fun doing it. I'm on Facebook a lot nowdays, and the group of people I chat with over there- readers, writers, and other Facebookers (is that a noun? If not, it should be!) give a lift to my day. The support and friendships that I've developed there... when I sit back and think about it... well, I can fully understand why so many people are on the website.

LOL! At one point, the Dear Husband Spike had to sit me down and talk to me about spending too much time on it! I smiled and nodded and went back to what I had been doing. We did agree though, that when he's home, no online stuff. Oh well. What he did come to understand was that when I had the regular job, I interacted with a lot of people during work. Other servers and staff at the restaurant I worked in, and also the customers. That was one thing I missed, and Facebook has filled the social gap in my life quite nicely.

Since going full time, I've been writing up a storm. I just published online at Amazone and other places my latest novel, 'Overboard'!
