Time Management: Mine Needs Work

I’ve had Watchdogs sitting on my bookshelf since the 27th, nestled in its shrinkwrap, while I try to finish up two work projects (I’ve also got three episodes of Game of Thrones on the hard drive, but those are of secondary importance). I’ve been trying to avoid reviews so I don’t get any preconceptions, and distracting myself by reading everything on Far Cry 4 I can find. Maybe this explains why these reports aren’t finished yet.

No matter what, tonight I’m going home to explore virtual Chicago.

Benoit Paillé’s exquisite virtual landscape photography

I’m fascinated with this art project by Benoit Paillé based on landscapes in GTA V. I’ve always found virtual landscapes much more intriguing then ‘real’ landscapes. I remember when I started playing Far Cry 3 being gobsmacked at the beauty of the open world terrain, because the ferns and land contours felt so familiar, but filtered through a different consciousness. I found the night scenes and rainstorms curiously compelling, and every time a morepork cried in the dark my heart lurched.

Will's ASMR Playlist

Looking at reviews for Kraken, a frequent aspect of reader comment is "the noodle thing."

Therefore, for your viewing pleasure (and possible probable bemusement) I am proud to present a playlist of Will's 8 favorite ASMR videos. I highly recommend you listen in a quiet place, fiddle with the volume until it's juuuust right, and wear headphones/earbuds.

Sweetseductiveasmr shares her udon and ramen handling skills.

A role play with the incomparable Heather Feather, in which you pretend to be a hard boiled egg, and Heather peels the shell off you for 38 minutes. A personal favorite.

Or you can hang out in Heather Feather's blanket fort with her.

Dmitri the Australian aka MassageASMR brushes your ears, and crinkles his world-famous Silver Soap package.

Ephemeral Rift as Dr. Corvus D. Clemmons, ASMR Plague Doctor.

Or to keep things simple, Brittany ASMR brushes the microphone and xOMelissOx scratches a very handsome book.

Enjoy. Or say, "wtf?"

Either is permitted :D

50% off Kraken at Smashwords

As part of Read an Ebook Week, Kraken is discounted to US$1.50 at Smashwords until 8 March. Just enter the code REW50 on checkout.

If your friends have not yet tried tentacles, tentatively suggest to them they embrace the suction cups. And slime. And try Kraken. Or you could direct them to this highly NSFW thread that GR member Neyjour started. Which is your favorite?

Hello

Somehow I seem to have fans. *wave*

That's kind of . . . unbelievable. Thank you very much Sandy, Fifi LaFleur, Ann, Sanna, Helle, Kynthos-the-Archer, Aimee, Julio, and Lisa.

Lisa Henry was kind enough to interview me for her blog today, and you can read the results of our chat here. (Can you believe that? Lisa Henry! She is as gracious and generous as she is talented!)
