Dunno if asking Robin or Keiron would have been better but you seem like a good middle ground, Brandie. Have you listened to Kieron's decompressed podcast? Do you think Robin has any interest in Kieron? Do you think you could trick them into do a weird cro
Brandie is what Simon Hanselmann calls me.
I should listen to Kieron’s podcast. I like that guy’s brain.
I know Robin talked to Kieron at one of his UK stops. I’m not sure if it was recorded, (I assume so) but yeah, a crossover podcast would be fun. I know Robin and Kieron get along.

Here’s Flemeth, the actual Shan Van Vocht of Thedas (“poor old woman”, for real!). I give her to you Origins-style, all innocuous and full of spoilers yet to come.
This is one of those unexpected deadline weekends, and I feel like I should be making statements along the lines of, “no more fanart until it’s handed in,” or better yet, “no more until this issue is done”. But that’s like an invitation to rebel against myself, so no promises, gentle internet… no promises.
Guys, guys, Marian!

Thank you, anon. This was the best ask ever, and here I give you Ged and Vetch. I love these characters SO MUCH.
I’m hoping that I can rope Brandon into doing some kind of character exchange/back-and-forth with me - because that’s a good way (shh) to deal with multiple, overwhelming deadlines. Really, I just want to see him do a version of Ged, as well.

The second chapter of Jake’s nerdy close reading of royalboiler and simon-roy's Prophet is here! These week he’s looking at issue #22, which involves a poop caravan. Colors by Richard Ballermann and letters by edbrisson.
And again, a quick reminder that Prophet book club at Fantom Comics is on March 15!
What video games do you like playing?
Marian is deep in games, so a lot of what I play these days is her old stuff. Like Tetris or old Mario games (Mario 2 is my favorite & Yoshi’s Island) Crash Bandacoot, Castlevania symphony of the night, was really fun. Where you play a sassy half-vampire in a cravat who can turn into a dog. Such a cool dude.
I like DOOM and I remember really liking Abe’s Oddworld, with it’s fart button
When I was a kid I had a Sega master system and was really into Phantasy star (just the 1st one) Quartet aannnd Zillion 2 the triformation. Lots of playing Salt N Pepa while playing Zillion.

On the latest Inkstuds, I noticed Scott McCloud throwing some shade towards The Comics Journal. Is there a general feeling of ill will towards TCJ and Fantagraphics among working artists? I'm interested in how TCJ is regarded.
I don’t quite remember the context but yeah TCJ I think is regarded as kind of out of touch. I like a lot of the guys on there but it can come off as an old boys club when talking about race or women in comics.
Fanta is pretty respected I think, They have the Hernandez Bros, Simon Hanselmann, Eleanor Davis and Julia Gfrörer and all that history of good books.
