I was soooper into Satoshi Shik’s work when I was a teenager....

I was soooper into Satoshi Shik’s work when I was a teenager. He did a series called Riot. With the excellent character names: Christopher W. Axel Rose and Billy the Kid. I collected them in books called Genki that ran in Newtype magazine. By the time I found his stuff in English I was less enamoured with it, but I can still see what I loved about the stuff.

TEZUKA Osamu (手塚治虫 ), Nanairo Inko no kokusai manga-sai rupo / 七色いんこの国際漫画祭ルポ

In 1982, Tezuka went to the ninth edition of the Salon International de la Bande Dessinée hosted in the town of Angoulême ( a french famous one even if there are always troubles (politics…).) during three days, sponsored by the japanese government.

To tell these three days of the fair (29 to 31 January), Tezuka had drawn a short manga which  was published in the 26 February 1982.
