Advertising’s a Dirty Business
The postman delivered an Amazon parcel. As I was out at the time, they left it in a secure location. Using the wonders of GIMP and a couple of minutes of my time, I’ve replicated the most important parts of the sight that met my eyes when I went to recover it. What are your … Continue reading Advertising’s a Dirty Business

The Answer to Every Investigator’s Worst Nightmare
Do you find yourself needing to display the power and majesty of the Empire, without causing the more delicate members of your expedition to swoon at the sight of your power and majesty? I might have the solution. I know I’ll be happier during an attack by chthonic entities knowing I don’t have to choose … Continue reading The Answer to Every Investigator’s Worst Nightmare

Dragon Moon by Austin Hackney

Lia Stone is descended from Dragon-born Guardians, and expected to join them in defending humanity from demonic threats when she comes of age. However, when first her parents … Continue reading Dragon Moon by Austin Hackney

I Didn’t Want to Sit on You Anyway
Today has been a productive day, but involved more being away from my desk than usual. Not everyone viewed this as a good thing, as this recreation shows. Fortunately, the stare of disdain was interrupted by a snooze before my head melted.

The End of the Circle
Saturday marked the publication of the last episode of Seven Stones, my swords-and-sorcery serial. I might return to Reverend Kobb and the others in the future, and will be releasing further collections, but – after nearly two years – the arc is over. It’s been an interesting experience writing such an episodic work. I haven’t … Continue reading The End of the Circle

The Impact of Politics on Language
If we take the approach that necromancers defile bodies so have forgone their right to be considered people, do those who fight for equality before the law become insuresurrectionists?
