Love it or hate it, there’s a technical brilliance and clild-like playfulness that keeps me and many other confused metalheads coming back to Babymetal. It’s like Meshuggah is having a nightmare about Jesus building Al’s proverbial Hot Rod inside of a Dreamcast commercial - something that appeals to me on a visceral level to say the least.
This is the first taste ‘Karate’ from the as yet un-leaked album Metal Resistance out April 15 2016. BabyMetal is fast proving that while they may have a gimmick, it’s one they can afford to be defined by it because of the bizarre range it offers.
