From the Author
This book:
Deals with sibling suicide and the legacy it leaves on a family. Self exploration and family secrets outline this novel’s core. A catharses cleansing, is performed as this book acts as a purgative drug. Forgiveness through, acceptance and love for each other is the legacy, I would like to stay with you. We do the best we can though, we do not always make the best choices. Unfortunately, often, we don’t know about the hurt or damage we have cause our family members until after, its done. Though, no less painful enduring and acknowledging the scars left behind regardless of ignorance and blind eyes.
I can say, telling this story is the best thing I’ve ever done.
Though, it is presented as fiction the basis of the story is true. I hope you are forever braved through my realistic writing style. This is my first novel and certainly a labor of love intensive. I am grateful, I can share this very personal and powerful story now. It was difficult for me to write. I laughed sometimes, others I cried so hard, I couldnt see what I was typing. But, I was liberated in the process of writing, Family Tree.
Sincerely, I thank you for your interest in Family Tree The Novel
Do ask, a question or start a discussion about “Family Tree” or the sequel Angel it is different but continues the story about the Harper family but focuses more on the main character. The story goes on an unexpected journey from what may be expected, I think. Family Tree is more symbolic than Angel. I played with the names of the characters in Family Tree, they represented the parts they played in Angel’s life.
Im here and happy to answer whatever, you may wish to know.
Sincere regards,
Andrea N. Carr, Author

Mentally, physically and emotionally, we are all the same.
The Dalai Lama said, “Mentally, physically and emotionally, we are all the same.” It is true, in spite of the negative energy that exists. I try to remember it when, confused about the intentions of others. The difficulties in life or misunderstandings experienced are a point of view. It is a personal one and has nothing to do with my view. I try to be compassionate toward others.
I know, there is a reason for confusion. Objectivity, gets clouded by emotions effecting how things are interpreted. I forget that sometimes because, it isn’t “my emotions” affecting the view. I can only deal with people honestly.
My book is about this very thing, I’m writing about now. I don’t believe, I can know, how much I may have hurt someone else. I am not evil, I don’t purposely hurt others so, I can live with it and apologize. But because, I am forthcoming doesn’t mean I won’t be misunderstood.

Live and Learn.
It has been an experience publishing a book. I am driven by my purpose. If it wasn’t for that, I don’t think I would be here. Well, not now but, later on. Not doing the publishing myself, anyway. Just creating the title was a challenge. I wanted to Call my novel “Family Tree a Novel” but, the name was taken by an Author whose first name starts with, the first three letters of my last name. I made a decision to call it “Family Tree” there were just too many books with that title and search references to that name.
I wanted mine to stick out. So I thought, I will use “Family Tree, The Novel” as a category in case I write a sequel. Also, to separate my book from other “family tree” searches knowing it’s grammatically incorrect thus, making it more memorable. Lol, my idea of marketing …well. Loading my book to Amazon, that comma in the title gone. Omg so, I subtitle “Family Tree” made sense that would be the only title showing, unknowingly not the case. Blah blah blah etc.
