My man Harley is a flirt and a tease...
So here's a tease for my favorite fans…
For a split second, Judy wavered, the sight of him dripping wet and aroused more temptation than she’d anticipated. The steamy bathroom was no help. Primal attraction crackled between them. She licked her lips, her body ready and willing to comply. Harley held out his hand in invitation. Despite the emergency call from the hospital which she ought to be responding to, she’d thought of joining him in the shower right then and there.
“You going or coming, darlin’?” he’d asked, a sexy smirk tweaking his lips and the innuendo unmistakable. He looked so damn irresistible with water dripping off his chin. The brat. How could he tempt her like that when she had to be on the ER floor in less than twenty minutes? And dressed.“Join me,” he coaxed, the deep rumble vibrating from him and through her through his fingertips. “Come on in. The water’s almost as hot as you.”“I can’t,” she whispered even as she leaned in. Her feet might have been firmly planted on dry ground, but her common sense was already stripped bare and pounding out a happy dance.“Sure you can.” He reached a gentle hand for the back of her neck, and took a step forward, his head lowered for a hello darlin’ kiss.

I LOVED it! This is the first book I've ready by Irish Winters, and it will definitely *not* by my last. I've already purchased the other two (that are presently available) and eagerly await her coming books.
MARK (IN THE COMPANY OF SNIPERS) by Irish Winters has it all: genuine romance, a broad spectrum of emotion, action, suspense, 3D characters, evil villains (illustrating the magnificence of the hero/es), believable romance. **SIGH**
Mark Houston (our hero) has loved Libby Clifton from the very beginning-- but (as we know in the book description) she's engaged to his best friend Jon. She's off limits, but that doesn't keep his battered heart from loving her. When Jon loses his life in service of his country, Libby is understandably devastated. Mark has the miserable job of carrying the news to Libby. Her heart-wrenching pain is *his* pain. I LOVED how Mark realized it was far too early for him to declare himself to Libby, and in so many ways, far, far too late.
This fiercely romantic story brings together two people who couldn't be more perfect for each other. Together, they're whole, blessedly happy. Because it's a romance, it's a given [from page 1] that Libby and Mark will end up together....and it was so very rewarding a read that Libby realizes she's so much happier, more cherished, more invested with Mark than she ever could have been with Jon. The whole lost fiance and current romance-- this triangle between two men (best friends) who love the same woman, one lost forever and one her happily-ever-after -- is so very well done.

There is just something about Ms. Winters heroes that sucks you in and make you want to love them as much, if not more, than the heroines. Zack does not disappoint. Women want him, he loves his job, and he drives a drool-worthy car. His life is perfect, or so he thinks. Then he runs into the epitome of a mama bear on the hunt.Mei is living every mother's worst nightmare. She doesn't care about the flashy car, the good looks, or anything but her child. Ms. Winters walks the fine line of a strong woman doing everything she can and one who feels overwhelmed and beaten down by her obstacles with finesse, leaving you empathizing with the heroine in a visceral way.
The best thing about these books is that the men think, talk and act like real men (and not like a woman in a man's body, there is a difference!), and the women are just as realistic and life-like. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

Why do I Write About Snipers?
One reason: Respect.
They do the hard and dirty jobs.They risk their lives to do the impossible.They serve.Their training alone would make most of us whine for our mommies.
I fly my flag everyday, but wish there was some way I could letmy heroes know how highly I value their sacrifice.Heroes like:U.S. Navy SEAL Adam Brown,U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle,U.S. Army Major Rusty Bradley,U.S. Special Forces Captain Jason Amerine and the Green Berets who fought with him in Afghanistan,and my favorite, my husband, Bill, U.S. Army Sergeant in Vietnam.Heroes like all the men and women who've died for their country.They were just regular people like you and me.Just stronger than most.
So, yeah, how could I not choose these kinds of men for my heroes?
