Hello! Thank you for making Iron Valley, I’ve been having lots of fun with it. I was looking at the Fantastical Ancestry oracle, and I saw number 40 was a “Ghone”? I can’t find anything about it online, what is it?
I am 99.9% sure that’s a typo…
You see, Chat wanted me to add Gnomes to the game, I was against the idea, but in the end I caved and added them. It looks like I subconsciously attempted to sabotage the inclusion of those little garden weirdos.
This will unfortunately be fixed in version 1.1 😔

Hello, I have a question about Iron Valley! In the book, you mentioned the “Starting promise: Get a job to pay the bills (3)”. But on itch io you said “I also don’t want players to have to worry about paying bills (it’s just not that kind of game)”. Since
Thank you for the question!
I definitely messed up the wording there. My intention with that starting promise was to get the player to search for a Townie whose business they could work at, giving the player a venue for potential promises (for example, you learn that the Barkeep has a crush on someone else and needs help or that the owner of the General Shop wants to reconnect with their long-lost sibling). This is similar to the other starting promise “Get to Know My Host”.
The wording here might...
