Well, first off I want to say that it’s hella awesome that you’re writing! Seriously. That’s awesome :D

Now… time to talk about the elephant in the room:

Should you care that nobody takes your writing seriously?

Any other writing blog would point you in the direction of something they wrote that could help you. Such as: Who are you trying to impress?

But not here. There’s more to your question. Because, personally I don’t think you should worry about what people think of...

“You should write, first of all, to please yourself. You shouldn’t care a damn about anybody else at all. But writing can’t be a way of life— the important part of writing is living. You have to live in such a way that your writing emerges from it.”

MONSTER EAT MONSTER

Write a story from the point of a character in a post-apocalyptic wasteland… except that the radiation has caused their body to mutate into something monstrous. The catch? This character has not lost their humanity. Double catch? They can’t speak.

[RAVENSGEM - WRITING PLAYLIST] is the collection of the tracks I listened to while writing Ravensgem.” If you read the book and wondered what music inspired me to write, or you are curious as to how one of my ‘serious’ playlists looks like, then you are set for a very interesting adventure c;

Since Ravensgem deals primarily with regret, and facing the consequences of one’s actions, this mix echoes with a strange mix of melancholy & nostalgia. As though you’re looking back on the days that w...

“If you want to write, you can. Fear stops most people from writing, not lack of talent, whatever that is. Who am I? What right have I to speak? Who will listen to me if I do? You’re a human being, with a unique story to tell, and you have every right. If you speak with passion, many of us will listen. We need stories to live, all of us. We live by story. Yours enlarges the circle.”

Street Rats

Write about a character who lives in the ruins of a city. As this character scavenges through the remains they find a cache of food, except they are not the only ones there. What does this character do? Are they willing to kill in order to survive? What if their foe is just… a child?
