Dear Max, I really love your work and advise. I always wanted to try to write myself. So recently I start a creative write course. And I’m spiraling! I’m too shy to read my stuff in front of others. And constantly stuck wondering if I look stupid. Now I’m

Congrats on taking a creative writing course! 💖💖💖

One of the things that has always helped me during times like this is to stop, take a deep breath, and say the following out loud: “Don’t forget to have fun!”

I know it can be daunting and scary to get up in front of the group and read your work—but don’t forget to have fun! Read your writing with gusto, with joy. Even if you make a fool of yourself every once in a while, it’s okay! It’s better to try and make a fool of yourself than never try at a...

Do you have any plans on releasing your books as audiobooks? I want to read them, but I’ve only managed to consume books through audio format for the past few years.

I don’t have a plan to release audio books at the moment 🙇🏽‍♀️

That being said, Google Books is allegedly allowing authors to create high quality machine-read audio books, so I might try to make one of those once The Last Bread Mage is out~

Other than that, there are text-to-speech tools you can use to turn a regular book into an audio book! I don’t know about other phones, but on iPhone you can navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content and turn on a setting that “reads” the screen for...

Have you used Evernote and what do you think of it? The free version is my go-to, personally!

I used to swear by Evernote back in the day. I still think it’s a really good app (specially for the price 😉). The only big issue I ever had with it is that, after years and years of accumulating notes, the app can get a little slow. Using multiple notebooks is a must!

#NaNoWriMo Day 10 (9,975/50K)

Lovely writing session today! ✍️☕️🍩

First update in a bit, I missed quite a few days between working on The Last Bread Mage and life being BUSY. But that’s okay! It doesn’t matter if you take a break from writing… as long as you get back into it~ 🌻

Outline Max is in shambles this first chapter was supposed to be 3K words but it ended up being almost 10K. I’m either gonna have to break it up into smaller chapters, cut it down to size, or both. Oh well! That’s enough writing for now time for another...

this baking recipe was yelling at me in all caps to get the measurements down to the exact milligram and then turned around and hit me with Step 4

The text at the top reads "(4) On a lightly floured surface, roll one mound of your dough out into some sort of a rectangle." The words "sort of a rectangle" are highlighted. Beneath the words there is a drawing of a confused face, with an arrow branding them as a geometry nerd. Next to said nerd, there is a collection of sorts of rectangles, including the classic rectangle, then the rhombus, the square, the parallelogram, and then the best of all rectangles: the trapezoid.ALT

The cover for the fantasy novel "The Last Bread Mage" by M. Kirin. The cover features a young man, his face partially covered in shadow. The young man has medium-length brown hair, fair skin, and appears to be smiling. He is wearing a set of crimson robes. His hands are brought closer together, as though holding something precious. Hovering just above the young man's hands there's a strange, egg-shaped artifact; which exudes green and blue light in all directions. On top of the illustration is the title of the book, followed by the author's name.ALT🎉 COVER REVEAL DAY!! 🎊THE LAST BREAD MAGE is a fantasy novel set in a dying world.
