I'm not one of those Luddites who thinks Facebook rots your brain or whatever, but I do think that when you're feeling down you should turn off your computer and pick up a book. Because there's nothing like literature for reminding you that other people are secretly miserable.*

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

My poem "Nascent" appears in the new issue of Barn Owl Review and my poem, "My Body as a Communist Country" appears in the new Copper Nickel - two of my favorite journals. Both of these poems are from my new manuscript. Yay!___In preparation for today's snow storm I bought brownie mix and cookie dough. I'm getting pretty good at anticipating what gets us through a snow day.___I love this quote.__
