If you're looking for some incredible, down-home cooking, then make D&J's Cafe in Clanton, Alabama a stop while you're travelling I-65 or if you're a local stop in anytime. For light and flaky fried catfish that melts in your mouth, or a mouthwatering steak that doesn't need sauce, you won't go wrong here.  The service was exceptional and the atmosphere made you feel like part of the family.  I will definitely be stopping in again! We started with the salad bar which was extremely fresh, then had cheese stick appetizers for the kids.  I enjoyed the Catfish platter, and my children had the Steak and Hamburger, we all left extremely satisfied.  I will say this is the first time we've all had dinner together and everyone left a restaurant happy.  Definitely a 5 star experience!

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends!

If you're a long time reader of this blog then you know this beautiful young ladies face well.  She gave selflessly of her time to model for the cover of Tears of Crimson, and now she needs our help.  Candace and her disabled husband were on their way to Colorado, moving their entire lives to get the help he so desperately needed.  They made the great misfortune of turning to Budget Rentals for their truck transportation and it has turned into a nightmare for them.

Two hours outside of Tampa, the supposedly new truck broke down and they were left stranded on the side of the road for 5 hours.  Her husband has a medical condition that made the experience agonizing for him.  Instead of Budget stepping up to fix the problem with their rental truck, they told them that it wasn't their problem and demanded they remove their things from the vehicle and find another truck company to do business with. Budget demanded the vehicle be weighed and it was found that they were less than 50% of the capacity so it wasn't an overload problem but still refused to do what was right.  Instead they wouldn't return the $1600 fee they charged which left them needed to get another truck for another $1600 fee.
