I have a question! O_O

(Is there a way to get notifications for these?)

*laugh* It feels pretty amazing! I'm trying very hard to be in the moment and to remember that I won't automatically be in this position again. I'm also spending a small fortune on getting to Los Angeles and on fancy clothes to wear to the ceremony, but again, it's a once-in-a-lifetime thing and I want to do it right! (It's worth noting that there are other sides of the experience, though. Being nominated paints a target on you, and people want to weigh in on why works they think are undeserving get nominated, etc. "The way to get nominated is to have a name nobody can pronounce," "SFWA likes stories about identity-politics," etc. *shrug* The good still outweighs the less-good.)(less)
