Speaker Mike Johnson explains it all: Dear Leader was an undercover (giggle) operative for all those years he was hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein. 

Right. Go on and pull the other one.

Now I don't doubt that DJT may have ratted on his good friend, after they fell out over a real estate deal--perfectly in character for our FOTUS.

But, as has been pointed out elsewhere. would it be in character for the loudmouth egotist in the White House to keep quiet about his heroic role bringing Epstein to justice?

I think not. 

RELEASE THE UNREDACTED FILES!

And let the chips fall where they may.

Waiting for the Queen

 

My Night-Blooming Cereus, aka Queen of the Night has been keeping me up for the past several nights. The spectacular blooms open after dark, releasing a heavenly fragrance. And the next morning they are sad, wilted rags.  And the plant blooms just once a year. 
Right now, in the greenhouse one plant is sporting five or six fat blooms--it's like a pregnant woman almost at her due date.                                       
A few nights ago I got up at 3:30 and schlepped into the greenhouse to make sure I wasn't missing anything. (I wasn't.)
Alas, the greenhouse is a crummy location for trying to get a photo. A hot water tank for background and the only light, a flashlight. But the Queen is sprawling and any attempt to move her would likely result in broken stems.

It's almost nine pm as I write this. I'll give Her Majesty a little longer before I go take a bath and go to bed. 
Meanwhile, HERE is a post from another year with a reasonably successful capture.
  And she's opening --around 9:15. Oh Calloo, Callay!

Dear Sirs

 Dear Sen. Tillis, Sen. Budd, and Rep. Edwards:

I urge you to work for the release of the complete, unredacted Epstein Files.
I urge you to rein in the mad, lawless behavior of the POTUS who is treating the National Guard as his private army/landscaping crew; who is weaponizing the Justice Department against political rivals; who is attempting to undo all the progress made toward renewable energy; and who is using his office to enrich himself and his family on a scale hitherto unknown.
I urge you to seek the dismissal (if not the imprisonment) of the highly unqualified RFK whose quackery is imperiling the health of our nation.
I urge you to stop the lawless behavior of ICE--whose masked bounty hunters are a shame to this nation.
Groceries are higher; imports are going through the roof, and the US is becoming a pariah nation in the eyes of the world.
Are we great yet?

So welcome! Things were getting dry around here.

John  and I sat on the porch, breathing in the delicious cool , moist air and listening to the clatter of the rain on the metal roof. Bliss!

The creeks and the pastures will be revived and a good wetting helps dispel the always present threat of forest fires.

Is a Puzzlement

I am puzzled as to why my Blogger dashboard suddenly is showing a much high number of hits per post than I've been used to. There are still only a few comments per post, but instead of the number of 'engagements' hovering around a hundred, now some posts are hitting above 400.

I wonder if perhaps Blogger has changed their algorithm or what? Or are a myriad of FBI agents perusing my ramblings? Have any of my blogger noticed something similar?
