A Superwoman!

"Mom I need a new bag" shouts my kid from his room.

As I am in the kitchen preparing dinner, I frown and talk to myself, "Oh God, another TO-DO list."

"Sure, we will get it this weekend."I reply back but then hesitate and review my schedule, "I have to go to Sports Basement for his cleats, and then his baseball game and then Target is in the opposite direction. Phew! that is a long drive."

Mind your business!

Mind is a restless organ, and it can drift from one place to another in a jiffy. This drifting does not need the purchase of a ticket. The advantage is that we are ticketless, and there is no one to penalize us for it.

However, chances are that our mind will not always think of pleasant things. It will mostly think of unfortunate things that have happened upon thy self. This will give us

Wordless Wednesday #24

Graduating from a cub and entering a boy scout troop is no more baby steps!

My son amongst many other cubs were the super achievers as they pursuit new dreams.

Mantra for today: Goals can only achieved if a person knows to dream!

The importance of being bilangual

This goes way back when my kid was six years old and as research has indicated that there are psychological benefits of learning another language. We, as parents thought it would be good to get him started as an immature since it helps in brain growth and aids in boosting memory.

Silly on Sunday

Imagination knows no boundaries over the weekend. My kid and I were challenging each other with, "What IF"
So, the question put forward was, "What if the moon gave out lightening by just the buzz of the bees in order to generate some rain fall over CA?"

The above pix is inspired by our talk...Silly indeed!

Mantra for today: If people never did silly things nothing intelligent would ever get

Love in Crisis

Distant sirens wake Sandra up. She is quick to jolt herself up on her bed, and her instantaneous reaction is reaching out to the other side of the mattress. But immediately something inside beckoned her, and it takes a couple of seconds for her to register. She nods as if somebody whispered the reality to her.

Earlier these kinds of alarms used to make her alert and helped her focus on

From Serious to Mellow...

This takes me back to the years when I was
working on my graduate thesis in one of the universities in the States.

It was like me, and my advisor was a match made
in heaven!

My professor Mr X was formally from Yugoslavia
but had been living in the States for over a decade, and he was very particular
about spoken dialect.

Alas! Little did I know what the future was in
store for me?

Wordless Wednesday #23

Clear Blue Skies with a Majestic Tree in my sight.

Is Spring around the corner?

Mantra for today: Man's perception for each season can either kindle his day or be a big turn off!

How not to live with regrets?

Let's face it...what we say or act today will be regretted tomorrow.

That moment when we tend to perform or convey without thinking or pausing tends to make us repent over the spilled beans.

This could be a scenario over our kids or with an adult of any age.

How not to live without regrets is all about living in the moment but, how many of us do that?

Moreover, it is easy to

Silly Sunday

Look what I captured today at the first blush of sunshine.

Cats, Pigs, Chickens, Spiders and Snails up in the sky.

Oh Silly me! Was it an illusion or do these creatures soar prior to dawn, and settle on earth when man wakes up?

Mantra for today: Living in a fool's paradise can at times tickle a sense of creativity.

Linking up with Everyday Susan for Silly Sunday!
