Dare to be different!
Dare to stand out of the crowd?

Most of us follow the rat race and many a times admit that life sucks! Cause what worked for my neighbor or my cousin; the chances are that it won't work for me.

Just like this particular tree standing a few feet away from the rest of his clan....would we dare?

Ponder!

Mantra for today: There is a certain allure of being different

A Tale of Quiet Reflection

"Di I don't want to ride behind you." he said in an annoyed tone.

"What happened?" I asked with curiosity.

"Err why don't you take the back seat, and I shall drive." he suggested with caution.

"Are you kidding?" I said with anger and continued, "Now, sit back. We have to get that stuff for mom before she gets jumpy."

He sat behind me but with a grumpy face as I zoomed off the

Beat the Drought

The weather may be getting hotter, but the Californians are exceeding the state government’s expectations by conserving a record amount of water.

The State Water Resources Control Board reported that consumers cut their usage by 29% in May, one-upping the government’s request for a 25% reduction by the end of June.

Dozens of communities across the Golden State have risen to the occasion by

Cheerio!

Pix courtesy: http://peopros.com/wp-content/uploads...

Recently, I got an opportunity to visit my parents and be a guest to all my friends, extended family, Uncles, and Aunts. This visit was an opportunity to say "Goodbye" to some who were old, fragile, and sick. While I got a chance to give a "Welcome hug" to my niece and nephews whom I had met for the first time.

Dirt = Kids
They could be the synonyms since it personifies a carefree attitude while having plain fun.

Alas! This same kid when grown up, chooses to play foul games that are dingy, indecent, and illegal. In short, becomes dirty again!

Makes me wonder
Is this love for dirt life long?

Mantra for today: Let's clean up our acts before we get buried in the dirt!

Priorities of Life

'Bills to pay. Miles to go before I breathe my last' was the constant chant of Chuck.

The family would wait up each weekend to catch a sight of him. Enjoy his company for those 48 hours and then he would disappear into the thick air of Monday to Friday 24 hour work schedule where even his vibes would breathe of physical, mental pressure.

Years rolled by!

His mantra was fulfilled.

The Heart and the Mind

From an infant to 15 years of age,  I was brought up in a family that not only consisted of my parents but also my grandparents, my dad's brothers, and their respective families.

In other words, a joint family!

A family where there was lots of laughter, nursing, helping, sharing when the need would arise but also a family where you hardly got a
