Writing Asides
Only about 500 words written today but I am reworking scenes and making massive edits so it’s really hard to calculate the actual progress.

To Do Lists
Your To Do Lists as a writer can be rather weird if read out of context. My list for the Ryan C. Arrington Murder Mystery novel attempt.
-Plan out serial murder sequence.
-Plan out disappearances.
-Plan out political fall out of both above.

The Neurological Similarities Between Successful Writers And The Mentally Ill
I wrestle with my own demons enough to think that creativity and depression and other mental disorders are linked.

Knowing his wife was upset with him for spending more time with his typewriter than with her, F. Scott Fitzgerald hatched a plan. He wasn’t proud of many of his short stories (he only included 46 of his 181 short stories in his published collections), but he knew that in order to win back his wife he’d have to whip up something quickly. Working from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m., he churned out “The Camel’s Back” for The Saturday Evening Post for a fee of $500. That very morning, he bought Zelda a gift with the money he had made.
“I suppose that of all the stories I have ever written this one cost me the least travail and perhaps gave me the most amusement,” he commented in the first edition of Tales of the Jazz Age. “As to the labor involved, it was written during one day in…

My Daemon
My Daemon is a trickster beast.
On good days he lays a warm weight against my back,
soft musky fox fur tickling my neck
breathing cedar smoke dreams into the shell of one ear.
He flits between shadows and light
letting me catch glimpses of his red coat as I toil through the day,
pressing soft nips at my heels when fear holds me back.
On bad days he is the dark scaled dragon clawing at my shoulders,
body clutched tight to my spine.
His jaws press against the back of my head,
neck coiled for the brittle snap that never comes.
His wings pressing into my sides as I shiver and sweat under the weight of him.
Riding me until I give in to the relief of darkness and exhaustion.

Writing Asides
I am debating on starting a side project that is an alternate history piece. I have a ton of small projects that I work poke at when I get stuck with my current main writing effort. My side projects are many and varied. Take a peek of what I have on the back burner.
1. Retired assassin who gets back into the game. College professor and occasional spy, Mary Waters, has been out of the assassination game for years, ever since her twin boys were born.
2. Ryan C. Arrington, medically discharged Master Gunnery Sargent and now infected Werewolf. Ryan’s just trying to get his life back together and learning how to be a civilian again along with dealing with his new Werewolf instincts. When lone Were start turning up dead, Ryan is dragged into the investigation.
3. Steam Punk short story. Parasol. (Could turn into another novel.) When Rebecca’s bother disappears she starts tracking him down. In the process she interrupts a demon summoning and must deal with the consequences while running around Europe hunting her brother.
4. Fan fictions (Way too many to list.)
5. Re-writing my first novel, Triton College.

Out of Contact
Just a quick note. My computer is on the fritz and I will not be able to get a replacement for a while. Going to be posting from my phone until I can so don’t freak if I’m not around for a few days.
Not being able to write is going to be Hell. I normally write at least a thousand words a day. Having to go back to paper is seriously going to slow down my output. Fingers crossed I get a new machine this weekend.

4. +Paul Was , I am dragging out the dwarf project again. Get ready!
