Amazing Grace Latest Novel

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PX4BR3L/Sweet romance with characters you can’t help falling in love with. Humorous. Inspirational.
Grace Cathaleen Roussell inherits a house her grandmother can no longer live in and care for and finds the seclusion of pine-scented Upstate New York perfect for her love of nature and the great outdoors. After a broken engagement, it fits her. Fresh milk and dairy, fruit, especially apples, sweet corn, and country cooking. The Adirondack Mountains and Niagara Falls make it a lush, beautiful place.
She’s happy and content to move forward with her life in a home she inherited on a road that reminds her of a rollercoaster. The brown house sits on a hill, and there’s a lovely pond in her front yard. Right behind her home, the thick, green forest of the rural area encroaches upon her backyard, and she’s been warned about bears. A river runs behind her house.
Chase Thorn drives around in his shiny, blue Ford pickup like he’s all that and a slice of New York cheesecake. Can she depend upon him to complete the much-needed construction her house needs, or will he want to complete more? He fixes-up homes and re-sells them. He has endured his share of heartache and pulled himself up by his bootstraps.
Grace owns the Amazing Grace Country Cooking Restaurant. Short a waitress one day, she is serving the customers when she waits on Chase for the first time, discovers he’s in construction, and hires him to fix-up the old home family home. He makes her heart flutter like she’s a teen. Will she be able to cope with that and work with him as she’s promised to help him on her home to save money, or will the attraction be too much for the both of them?
Grace comes to know and understand him better as he does the renovation on her home. Despite her Grandmother Roussell’s encouragement to give the man a chance, she holds him at arm’s length. She doesn’t want her heart broken again. Once was enough. Will her inheritance turn out to be life changing in more ways than one? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PX4BR3L/

Reese never thought he’d fall for a southern belle, but he can’t deny the attraction he feels each time Alexis’s haunted eyes show passion for the home she loves. He can’t help but envy the love and regard she held for her husband and longs for love like it.
Alexis never thought she could love again when her husband died in the war. How could she fall for a Yankee when Union soldiers killed him? Left with nothing but a war-ravaged rundown plantation can she find trust and faith to move on? As movement flutters in her stomach, can she let go of the past to find a future for her unborn child?
Bill Dixon fights in the trenches as a Confederate solider who is a cousin to Reese. He longs for the war to end so he can return to Mary and marry her, but receives a ‘Dear John’ letter from her while fighting the hardest battle of his life, leaving him with little hope. He often wonders about the plantation on the bluff as he gazes at it from the trenches. After a horrible fight, he ends up hospitalized and meets a young widow from Vicksburg. Can she help him heal and get over Mary? What happens when Mary shows up looking for him, and wedding arrangements are in the making?
Just when Lexie and Reese grow close, The Battle of Vicksburg ends, and he’s called to duty at another location. Will she ever see him again? The Union holds the keys to the war, Vicksburg and the Mississippi River, yet the war rages, and Reese has to ride to Chattanooga because the Union wants the key railroad in its center.
Lexie dreams to restore Azalea Plantation once the war is over, but will it still be standing? Is Reese a spy or a traitor? When Mary recognizes him upon a chance meeting, will she make matters worse? There are many questions to be answered in this page-turning saga that will take you back through the Battle of Vicksburg and battles after it.
Pull up a comfy chair and transport yourself back through time as Reese and Lexie fight for their love and their dreams, Bill decides between an old love and a new one, and the Civil War rages.

A Wholesome Romance set on the Louisiana Bayou

A wholesome romance set on the Louisiana BayouJanuary 18, 2019
Verified PurchaseA Southern Spring is a wholesome romance set on the Louisiana Bayou. Rosalie Primrose Patterson feels
blessed to lead a simple life. Blessed with great imagination, she has a passion for writing. Having sent
her proposal for a new story to various publishers, she is now anxiously awaiting their responses.
The last envelope is different. Instead of a rejection, it offers her a contract.

Her boyfriend Ashton has not popped the question yet, but he owns her heart. The obstacles they
must persevere demand great faith. The descriptions of the forces of nature are always richly sensual:
“The scent of dampness invaded along with the smells of murky caramel water, mud, earth, and mush.”
Just as sensual are the wholesome descriptions of love:
“She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him to her, and he knew he was in love with the girl
 he’d loved since grade school.”

In this wholesome romance, surviving the wildness of nature becomes a journey of love.
“She stood on the bayou and gazed as far as she could, hoping to see Ashton returning.”

Virtual Reality but Love Between the Main Characters is Reality: A Book Review by BJ Robinson

With a degree in computer science from the University of Michigan and career as an architect and software engineer, the author has put her education to great use in the writing of this book. It shines with her talent in creating virtual reality, but that can't outshine the love her characters have for one another in reality. Michael desperately tries to solve the murder of a young, beautiful ballerina named Lace before Ash, the love of his life, faces the same fate. She already has one thing too much in common with Lace, and he can't afford to let her end up the same way.
The landscape of the beach where the woman dies is described beautifully as is Lace, so intricately detailed that one can visualize it. There is a red herring that throws Michael off the track, but he picks up the trail again like a hound dog. Just as Ash puts herself in danger by modeling as Lace did, Michael is arrested and can't protect her. He has created a virtual simulation of Lace's murder to bring the mystery to life, but can he solve the clues in time to save Ash, especially when he is detained? Though there were a few hiccups no one else could write a novel with a virtual reality so realistic. I have put on a pair of those headpieces and played a few of those games, so I know what they're like, and this novel portrays the simulation realistically though it is virtual reality. This is one of my favorite books by this author. I'm glad I didn't miss it. She brings her talents to shine in the forefront of every description of virtual reality.
I couldn’t put this book down and read it within one day. Young people who are into those games will love this book! Older people who are into love will adore the two main characters and root for Michael to save Ash before it is too late.

Excerpt for a Southern Spring

Excerpt for A Southern Spring New Release Book AlertChristian Contemporary Romance https://www.amazon.com/Southern-Spring-Story-Backyard-Swing-ebook/dp/B07MFHMPPH/
Ashton tried to make the trip back from the Gulf in livid rain and howling wind. It tore through the treetops making him shiver. He made it out of the main part of the Gulf into the bay and breathed a sigh of relief. He headed for the canal that would take him back to the bakery. It was the one used by fishermen. The canal slithered by dark and greenish brown with shady, moss-hung cypress, pines, and oaks, with the Spanish moss whipping in the wind like long gray beards. It flowed like a fast-moving snake ready to devour everything in its path, strong with a powerful purpose. The deep, dark color beneath tree boughs eerily added to the illusion and mystery of the stormy weather. The vicious viper of a mean canal crashed around camps, businesses, and homes. He kept his eyes peeled in case anyone was stranded, but saw no one. The roaring river brought some camps down and filled others with powerful surges of the muddy water. The Gulf was the most important resource in their lives, but it could also be deadly. The community earned its living through fishing and other avenues of resources it offered such as charter fishing, airboat rides, tour boats, and shrimping amongst other ways. As much as the people loved the Gulf of Mexico, they couldn’t help but be leery. Canal banks overflowed from time to time, and he knew it would happen again and again. Yet, he was home on the bayou and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else or doing anything else for a living. It was his culture, his way of life. He voiced his thoughts to the wind with no one to listen to him, but God. “We cling to our way of life and refuse to give up our ways of earning a living through these great bodies of water.” The wind swirled and took his breath away. “The size and grandeur of the Gulf of Mexico with its vast openness exhilarates me when it’s a beautiful sunshiny day, but in weather like this it becomes vicious and dangerous.”He knew he was talking to himself just to hear a voice. Not another soul was to be seen. “Yep, but year after year, we continue to keep going, and we’ll have it no other way even if there are narrower bodies of water that seem more protective because you can swim from one bank to another. This is home to us, and it will always be.” He glanced around again. “Looks like the boys have evacuated this area. I don’t see anyone.”A submerged log loomed ahead, and Ashton failed to see it until it was too late. With the wind howling and the canal full of crashing waves, the boat capsized and hit a huge pine tree. It wasn’t long before the shrimp boat started sinking. Ashton lay on the deck of the boat knocked out cold.

When I was young, I always thought where there was life t...

When I was young, I always thought where there was life there was hope, but even in death there is still hope thanks to Jesus who died on the cross to save us.

Hope is Eternal! Life on Earth is Fleeting like the Wings of a Butterfly, but the good news is we have Eternal Life and Hope The Lord Lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior! Psalm 18:46     Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated at different times of the year to give thanks for the blessing of the harvest for the previous year. Families develop their own traditions. In the South, turkey stuffed with cornbread dressing is common. My mother-in-law passed down her recipe, which I use and enjoy.I have always enjoyed having guests for the holidays. When my children were small and still at home, I cooked huge family meals. One year, unexpected guests arrived with the family, and the small home couldn’t hold all the dinner guests. The cramped kitchen held only a small table. By the time the turkey was served, the place was bursting with people trying to find plates and utensils for eating. Borrowed ones from my mother-in-law had to suffice. Guests took plates outside and sat on the small front porch.A lot has changed over the years. I no longer live in the same place or in the same state. I’ve lost family members. My children are grown and have all made me a grandmother thirteen times. My mother, father, and youngest sister live in their heavenly homes. Some of the most loved people in my life are no longer here to share the holidays.

Last year this time, I didn't know if I would live to see another Thanksgiving. God blessed me with one last year with three out of four of my children and their families. The doctor wasn't ready for me to leave the hospital, but I told him it might be my last Thanksgiving, and I wanted to spend it with my children who lived over seven hundred miles away. He let me go home to be with them. I wasn't able to cook, but hubby, his brother, and my sons took care of two turkeys and a ham outside while their wives and my youngest daughter took care of the remaining food.

Thank God this year, I am able to cook. My husband is going to do the turkey outside, and I will take care of the remaining items. My children won't be here for Thanksgiving this year, and I know I'm going to really miss them, but I thank God for last Thanksgiving when we could all be together. Lord, willing I will see another one, but just as anyone else living today, we have no guarantees, so if you don't already know the good Lord, I pray you will develop a personal relationship with him. He has been with me every step of the way, answered prayers, given me strength, and I don't need coping skills because He is the way I cope. I take it to the Lord in prayer. A relationship with Him is the best one you can ever develop. I know I wouldn't be here today if not for Him. Thank you, God, for all the blessings in my life. I love You!

Warmth and friendliness of family and friends make up for whatever trivial items are lacking. Though a lot has changed, some things never will. I thank God for the family who shares my holidays. The kitchen table is larger, and I have matching plates and silverware, but love for family and thanking God for the blessings he has bestowed upon us and the mercies he has given us will never change. The heart of the family and thanking God for His blessings and your family is what Thanksgiving is all about, so have a blessed one!
Author’s Note: The cornbread dressing or stuffing recipe used by my family for generations is included at the end of my historical romance River Oaks Plantation and makes a wonderful recipe for use at Thanksgiving as well as Christmas. Our family uses it for both. The book is available for the Kindle through Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/River-Oaks-Plantation-B-Robinson-ebook/dp/B00H8XZLCE

Hope Lives even as a Last Resort "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. . . . For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians verses 4:13, 16-18
She and I stood in the front yard of the old apartment house. Lisa wore a light pink suit jacket, and her sad brown eyes looked directly into mine as she said, "I hope it's not cancer. I don't want to die." That visual image is sealed in my mind as vivid today as it was seven years ago when I lost my youngest sister. Bird-like hands clutched a shining gold star with a pearl-head pin. She handed  it to me, "I want you to wear this." When she died, the heavens raged. Storm clouds covered the land and hurricanes blew in from the sea. That year, twelve blustery ones battered America's shores. The last, a storm named Lisa, tiny and non-threatening like her, eventually faded out over land. On September 13, a summons came for Lisa. Sent on a mission, angels ferried another angel home. As I fell to my knees bedside my bed and cried, I said a silent prayer. Then, I opened my Bible, and the Comforter sent me encouragement. I knew then, that even in death, hope lived, for I'd see my youngest sister again in heaven. Thanks to Jesus, hope is eternal.
Dear Lord, thank you for Your encouraging Word and the gift of eternal life through Your son, Jesus. Thank you for opening my eyes so I no longer grieve without hope, Amen.

Cypress Hideaway -- Releases in October

Airboat swamp tour guide Josette (Jo) Breaux’s problem is choosing between Victor Blanchard or Bernard Bergeron until a peaceful Louisiana bayou turns deadly. Nature at her most dangerous. Locals say the bayou will heal you, if it doesn’t kill you first. Beware of lurking dangers, often more human than natural. Will Bernard’s shining brown eyes of love and the love of a golden retriever be enough with Cypress Hideaway, or will the bayou killer strike again and take away the choice of a lifetime?
This is the first novel in a new bayou series, but it may be read as a stand-alone.
I dedicate this book to the people who live in bayou country and those who love to read about it. My deep Louisiana roots developed a love of the area. Born in New Orleans and reared across Lake Pontchartrain, I have always devoured books about the South. As an avid reader and lover as well as writer of such novels, I hope you will enjoy my bayou series titled Cypress Hideaway. There will be three books in the series, and this is the first one. It includes mystery, suspense, and romance.
