Played!

All the world’s a stage . . . but life doesn’t come with a script.

Posh boy Tristan Goldsmith has one last summer of freedom before he joins the family firm in New York—no more farting around on stage, as his father puts it. But the classically trained actor can’t resist when the Shamwell Amateur Dramatics Society begs him to take a leading role in their production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. As an added incentive, he’ll be giving private acting lessons to a gorgeous local handyman who’s b...

Antisocial

A single stroke can change your world.

Xander Fairchild can’t stand people in general and frat boys in particular, so when he’s forced to spend his summer working on his senior project with Skylar Stone, a silver-tongued Delta Sig with a trust fund who wants to make Xander over into a shiny new image, Xander is determined to resist. He came to idyllic, Japanese culture-soaked Benten College to hide and make manga, not to be transformed into a corporate clone in the eleventh hour.

Skylar’s li...

The Story of L

“Liv called her hunger The Void. She thought she knew it – and herself.
Until a night with Cassandra silenced it. And brought out something in Liv she didn’t think possible: submission.

One taste of that, and Liv wanted more.

But Cassandra isn’t an easy dominant. She expects Liv to earn her way into her good graces. And her demands aren’t simple.

How many hurdles will Liv need to jump before she can kneel before Cassandra? Before Cassandra chooses to claim her? Just what will it take to becom...

What Does Consent Really Mean?

” “Consent is not the absence of ‘NO’, it is an enthusiastic YES!!”

While seemingly straightforward, Tia and Bryony hadn’t considered this subject too seriously until it comes up in conversation with their friends and they realise just how important it is.

Following the sexual assault of a classmate, a group of teenage girls find themselves discussing the term consent, what it actually means for them in their current relationships, and how they act and make decisions with peer influence. Join...

Whelp

I have been missing for about two years now. The explanation is the basic: I fell in love, uprooted my whole life, moved half way across the country, had a terribly stressful job that made it impossible for me to read, and I am now just coming out of that dark place.

I am back to reading constantly and want to get back into reviewing books. I am sorry that I have been gone as long as I have been, especially the people who have emailed me books to read in the mean time. I still have those book...

The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

At last in paperback in one complete volume, here are the five classic novels from Douglas Adams’s beloved Hitchiker series.”

I have been reviewing each novel separately as I have been reading them. However there is something special about this collection that I had to give it its own review. There is a short story about Zaphod that was included between books four and five.

The story is about a young Zaphod doing with two possibly government officials to recover things from a downed ship. T...

SE: Twin Nights

“What is it like to love someone, throwing yourself in completely into moments of crazy togetherness, but to emerge damaged and in realization of a violence that slept within?
Sophie Rinaldi was a star. She may have been a writer who could haunt you with words or a vociferous LGBTQ activist, but it was her aura – a raw animal magnetism – that drew people to her. She could be sexy and coy, harsh or unbelievably tender; the undisputed queen of the social elite, an enigma second to none.
But all...
