While not exactly a rave, do check out Publisher's Weekly review of Hard Drive: The Best SciFi Erotica Of M.Christian!
Futurist Christian selects a brave but uneven mix of unsettling high-tech erotic stories collected from his works of the last two decades. Christian is at his best playing with images of submission to the allure of urban dystopias, tweaking the imagination with scenes that are all the more arousing for being disturbing, as in the necrophiliac “Everything but the Smell of Lilies.” Consent and nonconsent are juxtaposed to similar effect in “Hack Work.” Sex robot stories—“The Bachelor Machine,” in which a man visits a disintegrating pleasure house, and “State,” in which a human courtesan has been remodeled to resemble a high-end AI executing an age-play fantasy—bring out futuristic nostalgia and a sad loneliness behind the idea of perfected, commodified pleasure, while also effectively evoking the sexual power of machines that are one uncanny step away from being fully human. Despite the author’s asserted hope for “a tomorrow full of acceptance, self-determination [and] mindfulness,” stories that point toward a future in which aliens or sentient AIs want to love humans, such as “The Subsequent State” and “A Kiss Goodnight,” are as creepy as those steeped in malevolent compulsion, and much less arousing. Futuristic erotica fans will dog-ear their favorite stories, but some of the other tales don’t even merit a read through to the end.

An Important Cause - And A Touching Review
From M.Christian's Technorotica
Amos Lassen is more than a tremendously skilled reviewer - who I am truly blessed that has enjoyed my work - but one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever known ... and he needs your help.
Please follow this link to his GoFundMe page and give as much as you can so that this truly special person can live the life he deserves.
Here is the information on his situation:
And here is his touching review of my new book, Hard Drive: The Best Sci-Fi Erotica Of M.Christian ... you're the best, Amos!
Our Sexuality Makes Us Human
Amos Lassen
I have been reading and reviewing M. Christian for about twelve years now and regard him as one of our finest erotica writers today. His importance is in how he sees our sexuality as that which as far as they go and he does this once again in his new collection of cyberpunk adventure, “Hard Drive”. His sexual stories are outrageous and therefore great fun. This collection contains a story that M.Christian selected these stories from other erotica collections and not only are they celebrations of sexually explicit cyberpunk science fiction, they are also examples of what good writing is. We go to the “outer reaches of BDSM, gay, lesbian, and straight sexuality in the near and far future: worlds of brilliant imagination, relentless passion, and supernova heat!” It is really exciting to have the stories that he considers his best all on one volume. Now I go through the volume and say something about each story but that takes away from the element of surprise you get when you read.
Christian is very frank in his descriptions of intimacy and he has the ability to draw characters with whom we can easily associate because they are like us—they are searching for what they do not have sexually.
Physical and sexual pleasures are part of our lives even though they are transitory and perhaps that is why some of the stories here may indeed shock you. I am not sure why we are shocked when we are daily being bombarded by new technologies. The anthology is made up of seventeen stories and I can honestly say that I do not know when last I had such a good time reading before this. A word of warning—- I became so engrossed in what I read that I made the mistake of starting in the afternoon and then staying up all night reading.

Here is the information on his situation:
My dear friend Amos Lassen, a powerful supporter of authors and filmmakers for years, needs our help.
Over many years, Amos has been engaged in an act of love—that is, love of the art of writing and filmmaking, and love of those who produce it.
Without compensation of any kind, he has published more than 15,000 reviews of books and films in support of civil and human rights for the LGBTQ+ community, proving himself to be a powerful advocate for these individuals and for the art that portrays their lives in a realistic and empathetic way.
Now, he needs us to help him keep this act of love alive.Amos is in serious financial trouble.
After being forced to give up his cherished dog by a mercenary landlord, Amos was priced out of his Brookline apartment in December of 2017 by rent increases. Since then he has been essentially homeless, his personal possessions packed away in storage. Air B&B's and the YMCA are not the best places to call home, and yet this is the choice Amos has had to make.
Those of us who don't struggle financially don't always realize everything that means. For Amos, it means he can't maintain his website, where he has posted insightful book reviews for many years. It means he can't replace the computer he needs in order to keep helping others. It means he is living in a room at the YMCA and struggles to pay for storing the possessions he had to remove from his apartment a year ago.
We can fix this. We can help Amos keep helping others. Here are some ways:
1. If you can contribute financially, please do. Any amount is appreciated.
2. If you have a working computer you think he could use, please email therobinreardon@gmail.com.
3. If you have ideas regarding living arrangements better than the YMCA, or about other ways we might help Amos, please email therobinreardon@gmail.
And if you know Amos, please don't contact him directly about this effort; he doesn't know I'm doing it.
Thank you for anything you can do to improve Amos' circumstances.
— Lisa Stephani

The Joy Of Mindf*ck: Celebrating Erotica On Tickle.Life
Check out my brand new article for the great folks at Tickle.Life: The Joy Of Mindf*ck: Celebrating Erotica!
Here's a taste - for the full piece just click here.
Okay, I might be a tad biased .. no, scratch that, I am definitely biased: after all, I’ve been a professional erotica writer since 1993. Which is (counts on fingers, then takes off shoes to count on toes) twenty-five years?!
Man, I feel old … anyway, even with my more-than-slightly slanted perspective, I really do feel that there is something special about erotic storytelling.
Not that there’s anything wrong with other forms of adult entertainment--it’s just that erotica can do what others can’t.
Think of it this way: when you watch a dirty picture, you are inherently a voyeur. The only information you can get out of the experience is what you see. Yes, it’s absolutely immediate: coming -- if you excuse the expression -- straight into your eyes. But there’s no context, no background, no story.
You look, and if what you see turns you on your body follows suit. The same is mostly true for movies: there may be more of a story but it’s purely superficial. You don’t know anything about what the characters are thinking, or feeling. Its a trade between off between immediate gratification and depth.
Maybe it’s me, but there can also be a sense of disconnection. When you watch a movie, or look at a picture, you have no idea if the people involved are actually enjoying themselves. Who knows, maybe they are just thinking of getting paid -- or if they put enough money in the parking meter?

Listen to My Books!
Not only can you read many of my books and stories but did you know you can listen to them as well? Working with the amazing folks at Wordwooze I'm thrilled to share that all of these books are available on Audible!
Bachelor Machine
Here are riveting as well as erotic tales of technology and desire, and arousal and innovation, told in an engaging and evocative style guaranteed to amaze as well as excite. Down and out hustlers, enhanced sex workers, enigmatic aliens, bleeding edge erotic technologies, and more - The Bachelor Machine is a unique vision of the future, while celebrating humanity's oldest pleasure...sex!
Bionic Lover: An Erotic Lesbian Romance
Pell was lost, alone, and lonely until Arc appeared. Fiery, enigmatic, with a mesmerizing cybernetic eye, Arc was everything Pell needed, wanted, and most of all, desired.
The next time Pell saw Arc the eye wasn't the only thing artificial about her new lover. And the time after that, and the time after that: each time the passionate and mysterious Arc drifted into her life, Pell saw more and more of her being replaced by refined and precise machinery and with each departure of her natural body for the artificial, Pell grew more and more terrified.
One day, she knew, there'd be nothing left of her lover but the cold, the engineered, the bionic.
Pell knew what she had to do, but the end, when it came, was worse than she ever could have imagined.
Dirty Words: Provocative Gay Erotica
Here it is - the Lambda Literary Award Finalist for best gay collection, Dirty Words. M. Christian's extraordinary anthology shows just how hot and imaginative manlove erotica can be! From mischievous Native American spirits, to victims of cybernetic nightmares, these stories will enthrall, arouse, shock and - always - turn you on. They are all well-crafted tales, filled with what some people call dirty words and dirty men, and will touch you in ways you'd never expect.
FILTHY BOYS: Male-Male Erotica
"M.Christian's stories are the fairy tales whispered to one another by dark angels whose hearts and mouths are brimming with lust. He goes beyond the pale, ordinary definitions of sexuality and writes about need and desire in their purest forms. [Listeners] daring enough to stray from the safety of the path will find in his images and words a garden of delights to tempt even the most demanding pleasure-seeker." - Michael Thomas Ford, Lambda Award winner.
Finger's Breadth: A Gay Thriller
Erotic. Terrifying. Fascinating. Disturbing. Intriguing. Haunting ... You have never listened to a book like Finger's Breadth.
The cutter is haunting the streets of near-future San Francisco, drugging random queer men and amputating the tip of their little finger.
But so much worse than this brutality is how fear transforms the city, revealing the inescapable nature of society...and the darkest depths of human sexuality.
Lesbian Erotica
Set in San Francisco's past, present and near-future, the stories in this anthology provide imaginative, urbane, and even humorous glimpses into Sapphic love and lust that will both arouse and entertain listeners. Those who have never heard M.Christian's erotica are in for a treat. There are no clichés or hackneyed plots to be found in these erotic tales; instead they are filled with substance, creativity and diversity that encompass sweet innocence, sensual tenderness, raw lust, pleasure-pain and more.
Painted Doll: An Erotic Science Fiction Novel
One of the pleasures of a dystopic future is the erotists, professionals who paint their clients' bared skin with neurochemicals that induce all forms of sensation - even pain. Erotists offer landscapes of ecstasy, sexual extremes, joy, and delight. Few citizens can afford the skills of the talented Domino. Fewer still know her identity is but a mask. Beneath the facade, Claire hides from a vicious crime lord who would not only kill her but her childhood lover. But the mask of Domino is beginning to crack. Strange sexual pairings and strange sexual practices highlight this futuristic noir tale, set in a wildly imaginative erotic future, exploring who we are and the sexual awakenings that occur when we become someone else.
Skin Effect: More Science Fiction Erotica
With The Bachelor Machine, M.Christian set the bar for erotic science fiction stories. Now he has returned to the genre with a brand new collection that will amaze as well as arouse: Skin Effect - tales that push the envelopes of both science fiction as well as erotica in innovative and stimulating ways. Here are stories voyaging to the near as well as the far future, exploring the ultimate limits of sex and arousal.
With an introduction by the Chicano science fiction legend Ernest Hogan (author of High Aztech and Cortez on Jupiter), the stories in Skin Effect - some never before seen - are beyond BDSM, beyond fetish, beyond kink...and even beyond the limits of science fiction!

The Sexual Futurism Celebration Continues: Great Review of Finger's Breadth!
(from M.Christian's Technorotica)
This is so very, very, VERY cool: check out this lovely review of the audiobook version of my queer erotic sci-fi novel Finger's Breadth from Gay Book Reviews!
You can order the audiobook here - and the ebook version is also available on Amazon.
I am generally bored with the extensive sex scenes in a contemporary romance genre but I love gay erotica, the cradle of the boys’ love genre and all LGBTQ sub-genres that have been resulted from the mother-father of the LGBTQ fiction.
We can have long discussions about broad disparities between the genres and sub-genres and their missions but, without appearing too vulgar, no doubts, the main target of erotic literature is to arouse the reader sexually.
To write GOOD erotica is not easy, don’t underestimate it. Not only sexual fantasy has to be impressive in its own way, but the PLOT itself and the WRITING have to be in harmony with each other. M. Christian with his Finger’s Breadth met all the criteria for a fascinating erotic novel. Not what I expected, but it made this book even more impressive.
I won’t qualify it as horror, but I read not too many horror books to be a judge. There is a touch of romance, suspense, psychological thriller and a social satire. It is kinky and philosophical. Erotic. Terrifying. Fascinating. Disturbing. Intriguing. Haunting.
A gay community of San Francisco is terrified, anxious and insecure. A maniac is at large with an eye for mutilation. No one is safe from him. He drugs his victims and cuts off the top of their little fingers. Cops and freelance agents are hunting him but all they have are dead-end leads. The number of gay men with nine and a half fingers grows up and with it a spirit of solidarity. You have still 10 fingers? Maybe you ARE the Cutter?
We learn from different men and the way they deal with the fears and handle their lives in these gloomy times. It is like an analogy of a short stories that in some way are connected with each other. But WHO does it and in the first place WHY. Don’t expect a clear statement at the end, don’t hope too early that you get it, and you know what is going on here. Very intriguing.
I listened to an audiobook, and I would like particularly to mention an extraordinary writing style that A.A. Ron, the narrator, emphasizes even more.
It has an invisible strong rhythm that is SIMPLY impossible not to hear. Very creative and captivating.
A.A. Ron did a fantastic job. I have to admit, it was not love from the first tone. His style appeared a bit robotic. But once the story started to unfold, his voice grew on me and I asked myself how I couldn’t have seen it from the very beginning.
I’m glad to discover M.Christian, a new interesting writer of erotica genre. My first but for sure not the last book by the author.
